Liked: Nice welcome by staff, friendly & very helpful.

Disliked: The beds are comfortable to sleep in but it's extremely difficult to get into them without hurting yourself. Reason enough for my girlfriend not to recommend the place. For me it was not a problem. ... Yes for you it wasn't, but you did not almost break your toe and hit your head on the upper bed. Ok point taken ;-)

Liked: I stay here regularly and it just does the job if you need dormitory accommodation.

Liked: Good location, 5 minute walk to Brighton pier

Disliked: Quite dirty hostel. Bathrooms (showers and sinks) were revolting, so dirty I could not use them. Room was very hot. 15 people sharing a room with a little window got very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in.

Disliked: the Journeys website said "in room lockers", but there were none in our room. A little disappointing.

Liked: the staff was nice even there there was really trouble going on

Disliked: THERE WERE NO CLEAN SHEETS!!! I HAD TO SLEEP ON A RUBBER MATRESS WITHOUT PILLOW AND A USED DUVET!!! HAD TO FIGHT A LOT TO GET ONLY 20% MONEY BACK when i arrived they wanted to take more money from me than on my print out from hosetlbookers

Liked: It´s a normal place to stay for a few days.

Disliked: The wifi didn´t work very good in my room in the third floor, and the beds weren´t very comfortable.

Liked: great position - couldnt ave stayed anywhere more central, less tan a few mins walk from train station. hostel was well organised, staff were friendly but not too helpful, i was a bit nervous when we arrived as a man came to reception and told the workers that he'd had his wallet stolen from te room. breakfast nwas literally just cereal and toast. overall an ok stay, except for the showers and te fact the toilets are multisex. te showers were either too cold or ot and you ad to keep pressing a button to keep it working, or it would turn off.

Liked: Bunks with curtains and plug sockets available!

Disliked: The lights and showers turned off really quickly. Hardly any atmosphere.

Liked: It was in a great location! So close to everything - although this isn't too hard in brighton. overall - not a bad place, its cheap just don't expect friendliness here

Disliked: The staff didn't know the area - where any services were (ex. internet - they don't have a computer and have no idea where there's an internet cafe), where to go out etc.. The lights stay on at least in the 18 bedroom dorm so on the bottom two bunks its fine but on the top the lights are glaring you in the face all night.

Liked: Dorm was fine, decent quality bed and linen.

Disliked: The kitchen is simply too small for the amount of people staying there.

Liked: the promotional material and signs and general asthetics and colour scheme was nice. I met some great friends there. There were a good amount of power points for laptops.

Disliked: The kitchen is not "fully stocked" as promoted, besides being very cramped, it had one pot,one pan, no can opener, little cutlery for entire hostel. There were no lockers in rooms either and rooms very very cramped. no reading light either. Showers would block constantly and would run out after 30 secs so you had to continually push the button. Breakfast consisted of very limited selection of cereals and thin bread with 2-3 jams. Internet continually cut out. counted 4 showers in entire hostel, no way near enough for amount of beds.
