Liked: Great comfortable easy to be yourself place filled with interesting people and lots of laughs. Moderate rooms and bathrooms but combined with great staff and many free perks including wifi and games consoles, it totals as a brilliant hostel which i would for sure recommend.

Disliked: The stair way could do with some sprucing up and as it is awfully gloomy and dark, i would suggest some nice light fixtures and some better durable paint

Liked: Was friendly and perfect for us as a group. Its not a hotel so you cannot expect hotel standard. It was great for our group just what we wanted.

Disliked: Only issue was that we had a random woman walk into our dorm, so asked for the code to be changed and they did.

Liked: The wii in the entrance was cool. also liked the room and space. breakfast was lots and fillg.

Disliked: my code for to get into the door was not working. get stuck in the rain is not so fun

Liked: Free refreshments at all hours and a very helpful tentative service from the receptionists. The rooms were extremely cheap and served there purpose with comfort. We will all be back!

Disliked: Not a lot i can fault the hostel about. If i had to mention something it would be that the doors slam terribly loudly and that the bathrooms are a tad small.

Liked: The service of breakfast was cheap and useful. The staffs were all diligent and kind.

Disliked: There was often run out of toilet paper in a bathroom.

Liked: A relaxed and private atmosphere. Perfect for a budget stay for a group of friends travelling across England.

Disliked: I do not recommend the breakfast, as there are many eateries around the area that offer a better variety of food.

Liked: The staff were very helpful and friendly and it was cheap!

Disliked: My bed smelled was incredibly uncomfortable and it smelled of feet. The shower room I used was badly thought out (it had a huge window with no curtain or blind).

Liked: Nice staff, simple and clean (except shower).

Disliked: Our shower filled up with black water in the morning so we couldn't use it. There was black hair floating around in the water too, it was disgusting

Disliked: Not all procedures where explained on Hostelbookers website as to pay an extra £ 2.50 to check-out at 11:30 or if you pay by card they take 5% more on top of the reservation amount which can be a lot.

Liked: I liked all the facilities available to guests and also that it was so close to amenities. Tesco is just up the road, as are the bus stops and the train station isn’t too far either. The local area has tons of clubs, bars and restaurants as well as places to shop and they are literally on your doorstep. The sea is a stone throw away (I have always wanted to say that and do that... ha-ha it actually is). Major let downs of hostels generally for me are the guests you share your dorm with. This is probably the 1st time I can say that mine were awesome and respectful of me and my things and didn’t make any noise at all!!

Disliked: I would of liked if they had more advertising on things to do around brighton, most hostels I have been to have huge racks of pamphlets and flyers on the comings and goings of their respective towns. All the bathrooms were actually tiny, you step out the shower straight into the toilet

Liked: Our flight was somewhat delayed (5 hours, thank-you Ryan Air!) so we called the Hostel to let them know we would be arriving at 11pm. They assured us we would have someone to meet us, but as it was raining they gave us the codes to get into the Hostel and our room. The room itself was great and it luckily we didn’t have to share with anyone else. We later found out that they actually did this on purpose as they didn’t want us to wake other guests and also they wanted us to relax and get our bearings. They really are very thoughtful and genuinely want to help guests.

Disliked: The kitchen area was rather small, you can really feel it at meal times when everyone wants to cook. Also there is not a lot of space to store your cold items (even though there happens to be like 8 frdiges!). We resorted to eating out

Liked: Room was very clean, was like cleaned with hospital disinfectant or something haha it had like a weird shine to it.the bed was like mine at home.. lol okay I don’t have a double bunk but it was pretty comfy and the sheets smelt like new. Best hostel I have stayed in.

Disliked: I read reviews when I came and it said that the staff were friendly!! Umm I beg to differ. Very rude check in and even worse at check out.

Liked: Nice staff, free wifi and laptop. I managed to wriggle a free locker for my stay which was awesome – of me(haha)

Disliked: Very cold showers, not really pleasant in the midst of winter!!!!!!

Liked: safe, welcoming and full of atmosphere and charater. Quite cheap. Staff are very understanding and helpful and made an effort when we complained about noisy guests who were really taking the piss and screaming at 2 am!!! Nice one guys

Disliked: Noisy people really ruined it for me

Liked: The room was very nice, a massive step up from the stuff Im used to (Thailand!!haha)

Disliked: My shower was broken and the water lit cam out like a dripple at a time, and to top it off it was freezing cold water! I didn’t get a replacement room as hey were fully booked so had to use the communial showers which was rather annoying seeing as I paid for a en suite!

Liked: I liked the security of the place. Very safe, and the girl (Ramona) was very nice with me always smiles

Disliked: Should have a better variety of food in the machine and the coffe one was actually broked. (I only did get a refund after 10 mins of complaining!!)

Liked: Friendly employees and great service really does go a long way and SoBo has tons of the stuff. the room was quite small, but for the price I paid I didn’t expect to much

Disliked: The duvet covers arnt much to look at, but they are clean don’t get me wrong. Things they need: More cupboard space in the kitchen, a pool table, and maybe offer lunch service and dinner service too.
