Liked: The very warm reception and openness of the staff who were happy to do anything to help. We were all made to feel very welcome.

Liked: The best thing about Kipps is the atmosphere that they create. They have lots of themed nights that makes it really easy to meet other travelers. Some of the nights included Wii night, Pancake night, pasta night and DVD night.

Disliked: All the stairs! But I can forgive that because its so amazing in every other way!

Liked: Really friendly staff and the central location. You really feel welcome at your arrival.

Disliked: the nearest parking was really expensive... but i can't really blame the hotel for that.

Liked: The building has got a lot of character and the rooms exceeded our expectations. You couldn't hand-pick a better location. Also the staff we're very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Everything was really good apart from the fact that we couldn't get hot water for the shower.

Liked: The staff is so friendly, helpful and real fun!! Big hug for them!I like that they have free WiFi in the hostel and the connection was always good. The location of the hosel is great, walking distance to everything, just over the street from the Royal Pavilion. Real nice bathrooms aswell!

Liked: I honestly liked everything!It felt more like staying at a friend's place than a hostel!The staff are very friendly, breakfast included, free internet usage, a little balcony, lounge etc...The bathrooms had little details like extra towels which were nicely arranged.The solution to give everyone a key to a locker for valuables is a nice free extra!I'd definitely go again and will recommend this hostel to others.Thank you very much!

Liked: Lovely old building with character, lovely helpful and friendly staff

Disliked: Price a bit steep! ... Though we realize that was a weekend in Brighton in the height of summer.... And it is a similar price to other accomodation in Brighton (they're all quite expensive!)

Liked: One of the best hostels I have used. A really friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff (inc juice to drink on the counter).

Liked: The location is superb, to head out to explore. Within easy walking distance of the beach, pier and lanes. All staff were friendly and helpful, especially Ed (Thanks for making my stay a good one) You couldn't fault the cleaness of the hostel. Liked: Location is excellent, rooms are well maintained. Clean and pleasant bathrooms with a good shower. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.Only problem was a lack of parking. We were told that there was free parking on John Street but we got landed with a parking ticket when we left our car there. Apart from that, I would definitely recommend this hostel!
