Liked: The location right across the road from the beach

Disliked: some rooms are in a separate building to the kitchen and living room so you have to walk around the corner to get there and the building was smelly with narrow, maze-like halls everywhere

Liked: Woman at the front desk was very helpful and very nice. We didn't stay long enough to see if it was a good place to meet people. 15 pound deposit per person for the keys just as a heads up all public toilets and only 2 showers per rooms on each staircase. Location is amazing especially if youre there for the beach. Most clubs are a 10 minute walk max and pretty much everything else you would want to see is just as close or closer. I would definitely recommend it.

Disliked: Only thing that might bother people is that there are people on the streets until 4am that you can hear even if the window is closed. I didn't mind though.

Liked: Central & conveinient. Clean & tidy.

Disliked: Our room was above the all night cafe. A little noisey. Was not informed of £15 key deposit. When I treid to get it back in the morning told they couldn't find it & they'd post it on. I would not except this & eventually it was found half an hour later.

Liked: Best thing about this hostel is the location.

Disliked: There was a bad smell throughout the hallways on Sunday. There are only 2 toilets and 2 showers to cater for many 8 bed dorms. Showers have very little water coming out. Next to nothing - just a dribble!

Liked: Not so expensive, and good location.

Disliked: In my room one day the heater didn't work, as well as a window didn't close so it was freezing.

Liked: Great location, and friendly enough staff.

Disliked: Claustrophobic, prison-like hallways, no toilet paper, the windows had gaps in and the heating didn't work on a -4 degree night!

Liked: This is an amazing location, and 24 hour access makes it easy t party at different times. Staff are very friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and comfortable. Perfect for a good value for money stay in Brighton. If there are quite a few of you, you can book an 8 bed dorm and have it to yourselves like we did, which is great as you don't have to worry about waking up strangers in the early hours after a drunken return. x

Liked: its location tight on seafront and close to bars & clubs

Disliked: was charged a deposit of £50 that only found out about once there and was per person which i thought was a too expensive. can they not just use your booking cards details and charge that if amy breakages like hotels do?

Liked: It had a fantastic location and allows one-night bookings, which is unusual in Brighton.

Disliked: The bathroom/shower facilities were not clean and the rooms were very cramped for 8 people. In addition, when we arrived the 3 men who had been staying there had spread their clothes over all bar one of the other beds, they had also used all of the curtain rail for a make-shift 'wardrobe'. Luckily the guys moved their stuff, but it should have been checked prior to our arrival that our dorm was ready for us.

Disliked: Pillows are just clumps and need replacing The toilet has not seen any bleach for years Carpet not vacuumed and peoples toe nails left 1 towel given for two people Right on top of a 24 hour cafe. So noisey you cant sleep.

Liked: I liked that the staff were very helpful and welcoming and ensured I had a comfortable stay. I loved the extremely low price for a beach front location. I would definately come back again.

Liked: Right by the seafront,charming location and staff! A vibrant hostel with the friendliest guests,had a lovely 3 days there.

Disliked: Whilst sharing with an (unwell) guest,it took a little longer than it should have to clear up her vomit-the smell gradually got worse over the course of our stay!

Liked: Free WiFi (but only by the reception) and excellent location in the town center.

Disliked: it was very dirty (pubic hair and more in the beds...) the staff was extremely unfriendly on the phone latest check-in is 9pm. if you are late they keep the money. no parking (24 h parking in the car park two blocks down the road costs between 23 and 30 pound!) you have to bring towels (you can get one from the reception for 1 pound) horrible beds. (you can feel the springs)

Liked: Location

Disliked: It was cramped. The lights in the en suite wasn't working so had to shower etc in the dark. It was also difficult to sleep because of the noise from outside and inside.

Liked: It´s very close to the sea, very good location! Staff are very friendly.

Disliked: I didn´t like to carry my bags 4 floors up using the stairs, they doesn´t have a lift. The kitchen was dirty.

Liked: Staff on the desk (a nice young man) was very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile by providing us with a kettle.

Disliked: room is located directly above an all night pub. We only managed to get about 3/4 hours sleep a night. Ok if you are there to club all night but we were there to attend a 3 day conference - not good.
