The Fylde is a 4 star rated Backpackers Hostel . We offer a friendly welcome, clean and comfy ensuite accommodation, spacious sun lounge, pool table and bar and free internet. Centrally located to the attractions and town centre we are the perfect base for exploring Blackpool and meeting new people.

Welcome to the Fylde in Blackpool, the only 4 star Nationally accredited hostel in Blackpool. Our Backpackers hostel offers 11 modern, en-suite, private rooms. For a quick overnight stay or a long weekend break we offer comfortable public areas and bedrooms to ensure you feel at home. We aim to provide our guests with a safe, clean and comfortable environment to make the most out of your stay in Blackpool. We cater for all clientele from sole travellers to couples to families. We have rooms and facilities to suit you all!

Located in central Blackpool we are fortunate to be within a ten minute walk to most of the famous attractions, town center and the Promenade. Catering for couples, international travelers, business travelers, families, conference delegates, school groups and dance groups, the Fylde offers a friendly and quiet retreat to make your stay more enjoyable. We aim to provide our guests with a high standard of cleanliness and comfort throughout their stay. We offer a spacious and comfortable sun lounge with Freeview TV, DVD player, free internet station, Wi-Fi, a good selection of books and a comfortable environment for you to relax and watch the world go by in.

Dining:

Our tariffs include breakfast. This is served in the restaurant between 9am-10am. We offer a choice of a full cooked breakfast or a light breakfast of bacon roll, scrambled egg or poached egg on toast. Help yourself to cereal and fresh fruit. We provide unlimited tea, filter coffee, instant coffee and orange juice. For those that like a late start, a selection of cereal and fruit are available until 10.30am.

We also offer a small self-catering area in the dining room, consisting of a combination microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge to make your own snacks. Complimentary tea and coffee is available all day too. We also offer a selection of snacks, light bites and good hearty evening meals between 17.30pm - 19.00pm. Check out our menu on arrival.

Car Parking:

We do have car parking space and we can cater for approximately six cars. This works on a first come first served basis. Cars are parked at the guests discretion and as the space is limited, guests may have to move their cars each morning to prevent people getting blocked in due to the shape of the car park. Should you want the freedom to use your car as and when you please, the nearest car park (Palatine Road Car Park) is located at the bottom of the street. The hotel car parking is an added service and free of charge throughout your stay.

Checking in and out:

We aim to have your room ready for your arrival. Check in time is at 2pm. If for any reason your rooms are not ready then you are welcome to use the hotel facilities and leave your luggage with us. Checking out is slightly different. We ask you to vacate your rooms at 11am, and once again you are free to use all the hotel facilities until you depart. We can provide you with courtesy facilities should you have a late train, coach or flight. Please ask us if you require a late check out room.

Smoking:

Our hotel is non-smoking. We provide a smoke-free environment for all of our guests and ask for you to respect our policies. If you do smoke there is comfortable seating outside to the front of the hotel.

Late Keys:

All rooms are issued with a late key on arrival. The late key will give you flexibility to come and go as you please.

Accommodation Information

We offer a variety of room types which offer private facilities. All rooms are en-suite with shower and offer tea and coffee-making facilities. Rooms also have televisions, and bedding, linen and towels are provided free of charge.

We offer double, twin and family rooms. Our family rooms are more spacious than most as they are interconnecting. They have a double bedroom and a bunk bed room with an adjoining door. They are ideal for groups of 4 or families.

We do offer two ground floor rooms (double and twin) for people with walking difficulties.

We provide large public areas (basement bar and sun lounge) for you to chill out in and meet new people. You will find internet facilities free of charge, loads of local information, and free tea and coffee available throughout the day!

Location Information

Blackpool is the perfect base if you are planning on exploring Lancashire; it offers an excellent motorway and road network. We also have great rail links, ferry links and easy access to three international airports (Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester). Lancashire is a beautiful county, with spectacular scenery and a breathtaking coastline, including Blackpool, the UK’s most popular seaside resort. The Fylde is located in the holiday area of Blackpool and centrally-located to all of the main attractions in the town. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is about a 20-minute walk south from the hotel. Across the road from the Pleasure Beach you will find the South Pier and the Sandcastle water park, which is one of the largest indoor water parks in Europe. It is ideal on a rainy day! More centrally-located attractions, such as the Sea Life Center, the waxworks, the Dr Who exhibition and Blackpool Tower are all within a ten minute stroll of the hotel. Those wanting to watch a show can visit the Blackpool Grand Theatre in the town centre. You will also find that Blackpool holds many conferences and competitions at the Winter Gardens and holds fantastic shows and concerts throughout the year in the Opera House and Empress Ballroom. Participants and families of Blackpool Dance competitions and conference delegates will find it is in walking distance to the venue. For the more independent travelers, walkers and cyclists, Lancashire and the Wyre can open a haven of adventure. We can offer the facilities to store your bikes and boots and provide packed lunches for your days of exploration
