Liked: Free wifi, beds that were better than my bed at home, kitchen with free breakfast, big space for lounging, chatting, watching TV, etc. and very friendly staff. Would stay again!

Disliked: Toilet in the room didnt work on first day, no lockers in teh rooms

Liked: Communal areas are good and relatively clean.

Disliked: Avoidance of forewarning about overnight noise from neighbouring night club. Noise is obviously a reoccurring issue which ought to be resolved as a priority. Given that my purpose of travel was for work, the disturbance meant I missed the second day of a 2 day course as I had a migraine as a result of sleep deprivation.

Liked: I felt Hatters felt more like a shared house than a hostel. Everyone was so friendly, and the whole place is very relaxed. I was staying by myself doing a course in Wolverhampton and i had been there five minutes and had already been invited to the pub quiz, which i happily accepted and got free beer and pizza (Thanks Carl)! Movie night was great with even more pizza though Tori ate most of it, but the best bit was the pub crawl with out line of Jagerbombs and good old Arthur running round with his little black book making sure we left for the next venue on time! "Ok guys we have 3 minutes" Hehehehe. Overall I loved it at Hatters and I would definitely go there again if i needed a clean, friendly and affordable place to stay with an never ending sea of bread to make toast.Thanks guys you ROCK!!!!!

Disliked: Could have done with out the roommate who snored like Hippo with a hernia but hey what can you do! Other than that no complaints!

Liked: It's an amazing standard for a hostel and exceeded my expectations after staying in a different Birmingham hostel previously. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by a really friendly and professional guy named Tim who was super-cool and helpful. It's really relaxed but efficient and super clean. It's nicer than some hotels I've stayed in and fabulous prices.

Disliked: Nothing, it was absolutely fab.

Disliked: no lockers, ensuite bath room only had one toilet/shower and were not in separate rooms

Liked: It's in a good location and surrounded by bars,clubs,restaurants,supermarket and places of interest. The staff are v ery cheerful, helpful and will make one's stay a memorable one!Safe and secure clean and a nice way to meet new people and make new friends, definetly will stay again at Hatters when i'm back in the uk!

Disliked: What has been described about the property, location is what i had so i can say i'm happy with the service both with hostel.bookers and Hatters.

Liked: I booked a single private en-suite room and it was fabulous! Ample room and bathroom (towel included), clean and comfortable--much better than many hotels I stayed at. Fully equipped kitchen and great lounge area too.

Disliked: Actually, the location is far to walk from the New Street Station, especially when you carry a heavy suitcase. I'd recommend to take a taxi or, if possible, leave your luggage in the Left Luggage facility at the station.

Liked: It was really comfortable and relaxed. I was really surprised at the great quality and friendly and helpful people. Expected it to be good...but it was actually excellent!

Disliked: It was tricky to find...but got there in the end with some helpful navigation from Arthur.

Liked: The facilities were very nice. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would've liked at this hostel, but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was quite spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful even at the late hour at which we checked in.

Disliked: I didn't spend much time at this hostel or in Birminingham and this can go either way for my review. The only slightly critical comment I might have is that when we got there the first time late at night, we had a little trouble using the directions to get to the hostel. This might not reflect the quality of the directions however just the late hour, our subsequent fatique, and the fact of being in a strange city when it's dark out.

Liked: Staff were wonderful and helpful with local sightseeing tips. The 8 bed room was fairly big and the dividing wall gave more privacy making it more like two rooms. Room & bathroom were clean. Plenty of room downstairs to chill out and meet other people. Kitchen was well appointed. Location is close to the Jewellery Quarter museum and Pen museum. Would love to stay again.

Disliked: Location is a bit far to walk from the coach station (about 30min). Light and sunshine came into our room (facing the road) very early in the morning and the blinds did not help.

Liked: The room was really nice and big- we even had a TV in our room. Everything was clean and the staff was extremly friendls, funny and helpful! The hostel was more like a hotel! Best hostel I`ve been so far!

Liked: Fantastic staff who were always willing to help. The facilities were great (cinema room, N64 room, big kitchen and dining, clean rooms). Overall good things. Free breaky and tea/coffee was a definite plus, as well as unlimited toast all day.

Disliked: No bad stuff to say.
