Liked: There are lovely things everywhere, comfy couches and chairs to chill out in. Simply loved it! The backyard is a great hangout too. The rooms are clean, not new and shiny but very cosy - a place to stay for longer than a weekend. The breakfast is good AND there is an evening snack for free! If the weather is bad, the meeting area is a good place to waste a few hours and watch a movie on the overdimensional screen. Last but not least: the staff. Very friendly, helpful and nice. Overall a great backpacker hostel!

Disliked: Not sure about the location- feels a bit unsafe, although no dodgy characters around, the hostel is located close to a train bridge and very industrial surroundings.

Liked: It was situated in quiet surroundings, and the staff were very friendly.

Disliked: My private room had been double booked (although I had booked with several months in advance), so I ended up receiving another one, which apparently was not one usually used for customers.. it looked a tad less well kept than the pictures of the room I had chosen (hole in a wall, couldn't open the windows..). They should sort out the problem with the multiple websites, so that no such problem arises in the future.

Liked: Arrived whilst a world cup match was being played, the chap on reception was kind enough to go through the whole rap with me regarding the facilities and services of the hostel. The place has a very cosey feel about it! and I will reccomend it!

Disliked: My room (12) in the 2nd building had a lock, but a slight push of the door would open it without a key, so not very safe.

Liked: Great little place, very clean with lots of character. One of the lovely staff sleeps in reception overnight, so if you're a late check in you shouldn't have any problems. When I got in at 1am on a Friday night everyone was already sleeping, so it appeared to not be a party hostel. Very close to 2 major train stations, I walked there easily. Really fantastic hostel :)

Disliked: I would suggest that the outside fairy lights be switched off when there's no one there, as they were flashing blue light around the room all night. But really, if that's the only complaint, it's a damn good hostel!

Liked: Brilliant common room with bar. Friendly staff. Ideally the location would be a little better - Digbeth itself is just an industrial area - but it's only a ten minute walk to where the action is so it's fine really. Not a massive fan of having some rooms in a second building but it seems quite a lot of hostels do that now.

Liked: The staff are nice and helpful~ As to the room, it's not as good as I expected, but I like the colour~ And it's great that there are some books in the room, and you can borrow DVD from reception to watch in your room~ although I didn't try it~ But the TV signal is really poor...
