Liked: a great place to relax meet new people and you felt at home. Everyone was so freindly and always there to help and give advice about the area. we had a great time and would stay there again. The garden was a great place to chill lots of hammocks, 2 pools and plenty of shady areas to escape the sun.

Liked: Very friendly staff, cozy hippie place... Nothing to complain about

Disliked: not exactly on the beach.. it takes few minutes to get there, but it´s not a big deal

Liked: Darren and Seca are amazing! We had such a great time at El Roble! Our bags got lost and Seca helped called the airline for us many times and was so helpful for us. The beach is very close and so beautiful- clean and not many people, with beautiful water. Everything here was perfect- very clean and safe, the food was amazing, comfortable beds, tons of hammocks, games, ping pong, movies, books, etc. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike! BUT be careful if you take the bus to get off at the right place. We messed this up and ended up walking for forever. This is obviously not the fault of El Roble, but just something to be aware of.

Liked: The Hostel owners Darren and Seka went out of their way to help us - they looked after us very well! All the staff are very friendly, the grounds are beautiful and the hostel itself is very clean. As well as the free breakfast they have an evening meal you can pay for that is excellent in quality and value (complete with vegitarian option) - this is a great relaxed way to socialise with Darren and Seka and fellow travellers alike.

Liked: Awesome hostel on a huge property around 5 minutes walk to the beach. It is very chilled out and relaxing with hammocks and pools and heaps of other stuff to do like playing darts or board games etc. The owners and staff are really lovely and helpful and made yummy food for us!

Liked: LOVE IT!!! Darren and Seka are amazing! They have everything from great meals provided at cheap cheap prices--if you want--to life-sized jenga as a drinking game with little clues on each block. The stay is walking distance to the beach. They have a minibus that brings you to the city for FREE or if you want they can arrange buses to the airport, the guatemala, and anywhere to the rest of El Salvador. Lots of information from books in they're library to recommendations with fliers about other great places nearby or if you decide to travel all of Central America. Drinks at $1!!!!!
