Overview

Barracuda camp is set 5km outside Nuweiba, on the Taba Road, South Sinai. Situated directly on the beach, the small bungalows are built from wood and scattered around the camp.

Barracuda camp is situated directly on the beach and has a relaxing atmosphere. You can see the mountains behind you and the red sea which looks across at Saudi and Jordan, the scenery is breathtaking. Barracuda camp consists of a very good restaurant which has an expansive menu from Egyptian food to English; try the Bedouin dishes, (watch them make bread or have a go yourself!) also fresh fish can be served daily (mainly caught by the neighbouring fisherman or even by the family or staff), anything that you require we will be only too pleased to try and accommodate. Eat at night looking at the stars.

From the beach there are two reefs which are excellent for snorkelling, where you can see a variety of colourful fish and coral. If you feel a little nervous, no problems someone will snorkel with you.

The camp is owned by a friendly Bedouin gentleman, who speaks excellent English, there is also an English lady based at the camp who will be only too pleased to help with anything. Barracuda is a peaceful quiet camp ideal to relax in.

Accommodation Information

20 Bungalows/cabins made of wood and palm leaves, simple but of good clean standard. Some have veranda outside where you can sit. Wake up in the morning to find you are on the beach looking at the redsea and mountains; what more could you want. The site shower and toilet facilities are of very good clean standard.

Location Information

We are situated 5km from Nuweiba city (I would say a village) it is divided into 2, the Port being one part and the city the other. Local gift shops and supermarkets. From the camp you can book safari trips to the desert do half by 4 wheel drive the other by camel. Arrange a trip to Coloured Canyon, Oasis Ain Khudra, Ras Abo Galloum (ideal for snorkelling or diving). Many more we can arrange. Try sleeping under the stars in the mountain or in the desert, cook naturally on an open fire.
