Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially I would like to mention name of 'Mohammad'. He is a very nice and honest guy. Also the day trip to West Bank booked through hotel was very nice. It was mainly because of our fantastic guide 'Alladin'.
Hotel toilets and room were very clean. Breakfast was nice and also the restaurant offers nice variety of local egyptian dishes.
It is 110% value for money.

The guys are brilliant, excellent with advice and unlike most of the Egyptians, weren't looking to rip us off. The hostel has free pool and a roof top with a great view out over Luxor, perfect for dinner and a few beers at night. Stay here!

The building of hotel was old, but clean and comfortable.
The staff were very kind and nice. I feel friendship with them.
I joined some tours that they offer, they were not as cheap as others, but it was quite good.
I will choose this hotel, if I come to Aswan again.

The friendliness of the staff at this hotel is unbeatable and unseen anywhere else. They will literally send runners with you to an atm or railroad station to make sure you arrive safely and any questions are answered appropriately. Upon offering a tip, they will even turn it down... amazing.

Best hostel I stayed at in Egypt and at the best value. More like a hotel. Due to a last minute emergency, I had to rush to the airport on a moment's notice at midnight. Because I could not get a cab easily, the owner drove me and I made my flight with minutes to spare. The hostel is clean and tour rates reasonable. But, if you take a tour, do yourself a favor and refuse to go to the Alabaster "factory."

The staff and owner of this hostel are amazingly helpful and friendly. Because of them, I would rate this as the best value hostel in Egypt. The sunsets from the rooftop are pretty special too!

This is the best hostel in Egypt hands down. I stayed in 5 hostels throughout Aswan, Luxor and Cairo and it has the best atmosphere and the friendliest staff. The top floor has a patio that overlooks the row of sphinxes that line the Luxor Temple and there is a pool table, two internet computers (fast) and a stocked coke/water place that costs 2.5 EL for water and 3 EL for coke. Internet is 5 EL up to an hour or per hour. Breaksfast is twice as big as any other hostel. Reservation desk is dark and depressing but the staff is usually very nice. STAY HERE if you want to leave with a good impression of Egypt.

Nefertiti is conveniently located in an area that is within walking distance of the Souq (marketplace), and Luxor Temple. They offered a tour out to the Valley of the Kings and (in conjunction with the others) allowed us to modify the itinery to swap the Valley of the Queens to two spectacular tombs in the Valley of the Nobles. Oh and there's a place next door that has Stella :-)

A bargain hotel with OK facilities and a helpful and friendly staff. The roof terrace with a view on luxor temple and the river is a good place to relax after a day out in the streets. Most places of interest are in walking distance.

Extremely clean and the cleaning lady shaped the towels into wonderful shapes (including hearts and swans). Internet access available but costs 1.5 Egyptian pounds per 15 minutes. Excellent breakfast with 3 bread rolls, jam, butter, cheese, boiled egg, corn flakes, tea/coffee. Good location (a little noisy at night because of the busy cafe below but the air conditioning drowns this out). Hot water, towels, toilet paper provided. They never replied to any of my e-mails but they do pick up the phone. Pick up from bus station and airport is not free. Overall, I think this place is very good and would recommend it.
