A bargain hotel with OK facilities and a helpful and friendly staff. The roof terrace with a view on luxor temple and the river is a good place to relax after a day out in the streets. Most places of interest are in walking distance.

Extremely clean and the cleaning lady shaped the towels into wonderful shapes (including hearts and swans). Internet access available but costs 1.5 Egyptian pounds per 15 minutes. Excellent breakfast with 3 bread rolls, jam, butter, cheese, boiled egg, corn flakes, tea/coffee. Good location (a little noisy at night because of the busy cafe below but the air conditioning drowns this out). Hot water, towels, toilet paper provided. They never replied to any of my e-mails but they do pick up the phone. Pick up from bus station and airport is not free. Overall, I think this place is very good and would recommend it.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, even helping me to get some anti-biotics for an ear infection. Its situated right bu the main market place and minutes from Luxor temple. The roof top is a great place to meet up with like minded people and the rooms a good size and fantastic value

Hotel is very central and good localized. Bathroom is a litle bit small, and water goes everywhere when showering. Staff was friendly, but did not really help me in arranging the trip I was interested in.Prices for food and water are OK.

They treat you like you're family. It is very clean and a good price. It's near the train station and the East Bank temples (you don't want a hotel on the West Bank). Even though my train arrived at 11:30pm, the staff still made arrangements to have me picked up at the train station and driven to the hotel. That was so wonderful. Nice rooftop sitting area. No waiting in line for Internet. They arranged a tour of the West Bank temples for an affordable price. The also arranged a hot air balloon ride that I went on - you should all do it, it was a great experience to see all the temples from the above. Alladin, the owner, is a great guy. Omar and Sinbad, his nephews, are so helpful as well. This is the best place to stay in Luxor. I highly recommend this hotel!

This is honestly the best hostel (or even hotel) that I have ever stayed in. The high quality and number of services offered are unmatched. The staff are friendly and welcoming but don't hassle you - they can arrange tours and trips for you but don't pressure you to do so (as they do at many other hostels & hotels in Egypt). They go out of their way to accommodate you - for example, they will prepare the breakfast included in the room rental for you ahead of the time it normally comes out - so if you are leaving for a tour at 6:00 in the morning, they will have it ready for you. If you want to keep your own food temporarily in the fridge, they let you. They also really do provide a free ride from the train station to the hostel - many places online claim to have this, but don't actually provide it. The hostel even has a little restaurant attached to it that offers excellent food at low prices. This is great because it can be exhausting trying to find restaurants that won't charge you exorbitant tourist prices.
The hostel itself is really beautiful. The rooftop common area has both an enclosed room (with pool table, computers, magazines, and a fridge full of cheap, cold beverages) and an open-air patio with an incredible view over the city. You can look out at the mountains, mosques, houses, the River Nile, and the Avenue of Sphinxes leading up to Luxor temple.
The computers in the common area are quite good compared to other hotels and hostels - first, there are 4, so you rarely have to wait for one to become available; second, they are equipped to burn CDs and there is even a port for your digital camera's memory card.
The location of the hostel is right in the downtown core, inside a bustling pedestrian marketplacce, and very close walking distance to the museums, the Nile river, Luxor temple, etc. The Temple of Karnak is also not terribly far away - it takes about 25 minutes to walk.
I would recommend this hostel very highly.

It was beautiful: cute, clean rooms and a rooftop terrace overlooking the Nile! A nice breakfast (included) is served there, and if there wasn't so much to do and see in Luxor, I would have wanted to also spend lunch and dinner lounging on the terrace.
