Liked: Very safe place, very nice people. Don't worry about the elevator - hostel is located at 6th & 7 7th floor and there everything looks fine. People there will help you with anything. Also Internet Connection is working very well.

Disliked: Water leaking all the time ;) But is not a problem if you compare to the rest of Cairo!

Liked: no

Disliked: they said the 10% deposit was paid for hostelbookers.com and insisted and asked me to pay "full amount " while I checked in. That doesn't match what hostelbookers.com mentioned in the my booking process.

Liked: If you stay anywhere else in Cairo, you're just daft. This place is insanely social, and the staff is exceptional. The nights are restful when you need them to be, but the hostel is the perfect place to get a group together for a night out. Then you're two minutes walk from the metro, and 15 minutes from Egyptian museum

Liked: I used to travel to Cairo many times a year, this is the very first time i found myself at home! New Palace Hotel will be my home everytime i want to fly to Cairo, the place is absolutely Great! Dr.Ahmed the Owner and his staff can do anything for you, rooms are quite, clean and it looks like being in a family house where you can get in touch with many different nationalities. i was sick one day and the entire staff kept asking me if i was ok. if you want to feel at home. stay there

Liked: The staff is friendly, helpful and great to talk to - I definitely were made to feel quite at home. The rooms are clean and well-kept. The roof garden terrace was nice. It was great to meet people from all over the world, drink coffee, fresh juice. really recommend

Liked: Nothing,,only friendliness staff.

Disliked: I never go again there.I rent ensuite room but was terrible.... Maybe it is good in Africa but I dont know.After arriving I met with an australian man who told me he found more wronger hotel before.. I had in my luxury room mushroom around on wall,,big cockroaches every day about 10-12 ,,,before my sleeping I had hunting 1 hour after animals. Aircondition was very loud(tik tik tik tik!!!) No toilet paper,no soap. All day big noise from the sreet,,I couldnt sleep I was always tired.

Liked: One of the best hostels I have stayed in, Great roof garden, clean, modern hostel. Location is good, large rooms with privacy curtain on each bed including a personal reading light and power points in each bed! near from all the main tourist attraction. very lively and fun hostel, I meet a lot of wonderful travelers here.... Liked: GREAT.....Definitely recommend this place to stay. Very laid back place and the people who run it are awesome :) They do a good job at pulling the hostel together and getting everyone to have a good time The rooms are comfortable, get own locker, great location right near the metro and not too far of a walk to night life only 2 minutes by foot. Liked: New palace is everything you could want in a hostel. It's very clean, it's close to the sights, it's safe and the owners are AMAZING. If you are looking for a good base to explore Cairo from I highly recommend new palace. Trust Ahmed's recommendations, we were never disappointed

Liked: Let me start by saying I would definately recomment this hotel. This is my second time I have been to Egypt, and I headed straight to this hotel again. The staff are great and helpful. They make me feel at home. The free breakfast helps you to start the day of sight seeing. And the rooms are clean and good value for money. I plan to come again!!!
