Liked: I am going to stay at his hotel for about 9 months! When I first came to egypt I thought about staying here for the first days and search for an appartement! But the people here at the hotel soon became friends and I feel secure in this hotel! I came to egypt all alone and was afraid about feeling alone but they helped me with everything and really respected and took care of me!Because of this reasons I decided to stay at this hotel for my whole stay here!The rooms are nice and you really can feel like home!

Liked: It is difficult to write a review about The New Palace Hotel because, for many Canadians, on first glance, it could be a little scary. The building that it is in seems very run down and when we stepped into the rickety elevator, we wondered what we were in for. That changed when the doors opened and we walked into a lovely hotel, with a staff waiting up for us. We got in at 3:00 am but everyone helped us and was cheerful and happy to see us. The hotel sent a driver to pick us from the airport and everything was ready for us when we arrived. As the days passed, we enjoyed the friendliness of this unique place with its open air terrace above, nice breakfast and laundry service. We shared bathrooms/showers which meant they weren’t the cleanest but the people there more than made up for that. Our driver while touring Cairo was absolutely outstanding. Mohomed got us around safely, helped us get student/teacher cards for discounts and even bought our children gifts. At the end of our stay, the staff invited us to break the fast during Ramadan with them and they all shared their food with us, and then Mohomed invited us upstairs for tea and a visit where he bought our kids cokes and showed us pictures of his family. We really enjoyed our time at New Palace!

Liked: I has liked the community which the staff was able to creat just naturally specailly Mahmoud at the roof Restuarant. I think I enjoyed most of my stay.There is also good resturant at the roof, enough sapce fot people to chat in good atomosphere

Liked: What struck me most was the warming welcome I had been given when I arrived and the open mindedness and friendliness of the staff, especially the manager Ahmed as well as Ahmed nicknamed Metallica, Abdallah also called Jeremy, Walid, Redda, Said, Soulimane, Redda.....You feel like home in this very particular place but above all you feel like staying there because everybody is very nice and really take care of you. So I strongly recommend this hostel.....

Liked: the people are great -they're friendly and joke around with you. the tour price was great value for the money. the food is well priced and served by the always smiling Mahmoud. I am coming back to stay again once my tour is over. Make sure you take a good map with you.Many taxi's have trouble finding the small street.

Liked: The staff, especially Ahmed, was very helpful and friendly. He helped us plan our time in Egypt, which we greatly appreciated. The hostel was relatively close to downtown, once we figured out the map and how to get there. We were able to walk to the metro and Cairo Museum easily from it. I would recommend this hostel to everyone!

Liked: Nice rooftop terrace when you need to escape Cairo.Excellent tours arranged through Jamaica - slightly more expensive than elsewhere - but totally hastle free, exactly what we asked for. Also in house tour guide Abraham was very good.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful. They very quickly arranged a driver for the day so that we could see the pyramids and the Cairo museum. They were also accomodating in that they allowed us to check in at 7am so that we could just get out and see the sights for the day. Great value for the money

Liked: People at thie hostel are friendly and very nice. They are willing to help if you ask any questions. We felt very safe at this hostel. The location in pretty central, close to very good restaurant recommended in the lonely planet too. Cleaners are nice and very cute as well. The people at the restaurant in this hostel are friendly and nice, too.

Liked: We were very happy of the travel package around Egypt that was arranged for us from the hotel and our travel whent well. The hotel room was very clean even if the hotel was in a very run down building and area . The service was excellent.We were happy about being picked up from the airport.
