Liked: One of the cleanest and most comfortable hostels I have ever stayed in, more like a hotel with a common area and computer. Our bathroom was clean, and the "hot water" was actually hot (not always the case at hostels advertising hot water)! The staff were very friendly. They were happy to give us travel information and kept bringing us tea :) At night, we enjoyed sitting in the common room watching TV and socializing with the staff and other travelers. There was a small kitchen that we were able to cook food in. The breakfast consisted of a falafel pita and a foul (Egyptian bean dish) pita; both were good. Having stayed for 4 nights in a private room, we got a free ride to and from the pyramids, which was very convenient.

Disliked: It was a bit hard to find the hostel. From the street there is a sign, but you have to go into a large building (which does not have a sign for the hostel) and it is on the 3rd floor. Once someone tells you where it is, though, you'll have no trouble.

Liked: Location is best , big size rooms. lift available.Mr. Ahmed is very helpful. gives directions around egypt. always ready to sort things out for you. Provided me nice tour of Giza as advertised. Staff is really nice. I was very worried to visit cairo when violent protests were going on. Was going to cancell trip. my colleagues did cancelled. But Ahmed explained everything properly & gave sincere advise to continue my trip. I appreciate his guidance about moving out in cairo. no probs at all. Really enjoyed stay.

Disliked: They advertised but there is no AC in working condition. As i complained they told its winter so AC not essential ?? [ very funny explanation ... outside temp is 8 degrees at night so you need AC to keep it atleast 15-18 degrees. ]. No heater so bad in winter. Breakfast is ok. But on friday there was no breakfast explanation given was friday everybody in cairo is relaxed so they didnot get bread/eggs???

Liked: Very good location in the city center, near to Egyptian museum. next to many shops, restaurants... the tour organized by Mohamed was very interesting, I had a lot of fun. the staff is very kind and open minded even if i have some special questions.

Disliked: None.

Liked: I paid for a dorm and got a room by my self with air con and its own ensuite , very clean on the in side.

Disliked: they said there was breakfast but when i asked about it they said there is none and i needed to clean some of my cloths and they said there washing machine wasnt working,which i find hard to believe how would they clean there sheets??

Liked: this is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. It's actually more of a hotel. Very tasteful furniture in the lounge and reception area. The rooms are very clean and convenient. The bunk-beds are comfortable and made of good quality wood. Good selection of Breakfast for Free. The staff is extremely friendly. I liked this hostel so much that I canceled my booking at another one and stayed two more nights. Excellent value for money. Keep up the good work. Many thanks, guys

Liked: we liked the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. we also liked its location; there were many shops around and interesting sightings were not very further away. we liked the cleanliness and availability of hot water and also the room decor. overall it was very good value for money.

Disliked: the entrance is not easy to find as its on the 3rd floor of an old building which at first looks abandoned, however the hostel itself is very well looked after.

Liked: It was my first time staying at a hostel and I loved every minute of it. The staff were super helpful and friendly. They gave great tips to where to go, what to see, etc. I had a fantastic time staying there and would definitely go back.

Liked: I don't think my stay in Cairo would have been the same if I haven't stayed in the Jasmine hostel, it was an amazing experience so comfortable, great staff, great activities during the day time and at night. I simply loved it and would love to visit again :-)

Liked: best hostel i have stayed in yet. felt incredibly safe. the room and toilet were very clean. i would definitely stay there again. the restaurant downstairs was also extremely convenient if you wanted aquick bite

Liked: This hostel was recommended to me by a friend who stayed few months ago at the Jasmine hostel. The hostel really describes itself frankly. The rooms are clean air conditioned and the bathroom inside was fair. The hostel is located in a huge building with a nice clean entrance. the place feels cozy, specially with the guys who work there. They made me feel as a part of the family. I do recommend this hostel to backpackers who wants to visit Cairo. Thanks dudes, you ROCK!!

Liked: Jasmine Hostel is a very nice, clean and fun hostel to stay in, it is reasonably priced and the staff is helpful and available for any questions. The hostel is located right in downtown making it accessible to the egyptian museum and other sites. I highly recommend this hostel.

Liked: not a easy to find place, even less taxi driver knows about it. it's on the 3rd floor but there is no signs at all on the ground (maybe there is one in Arabic)staff is very nice and helpful, but the room is a little bit strange. Fixed shower, toilet lid and cover cannot stand there alone, only a blanket (not very clean) on the bed, no sheet between it and the mattress cover.

Liked: Great place to hang out. The staff are so friendly. They are really great at creating a welcoming atmosphere so all of the guests hang out together and you meet so many fascinating people. It was really nice how well they took care of everyone.

Liked: A wonderful location right in the center of downtown, but conveniently set far enough back from the street so you don't have the noise. The staff are friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you're happy. Bonus points for being spectacularly clean.

Liked: I liked that the hotel staff befriended me and helped me arrange travel all over the town. I also like that they always gave me advice on what to do and when/ They were very helpful for the short time that I stayed there.
