Liked: Staff was very nice and friendly but not pushy. The location is very good if one wants to really stay in Downtown, it's directly between 3 of the Main Downtown Metro Stations all within 5 Minutes walking distance which is very helpful when one needs to get somewhere faster (and easy to get back to). about the rooms: you'll find everything you'd expect in them, a good bed, clean sheets and whats probably note worthy, the high ceiling, the rooms height i would estimate at about 4 Meters (or about double the height of a normal floor) while the breakfast is simple (as mentioned), they didn't enforce eating times, I got breakfast when i asked for it, no matter how late it was in the day (aka "when I got up"). I did take one of the trips (Giza/Saqqara/Memphis) the hostel offered (but as mentioned before, they did not push it, they just offered it once and that was it, I asked for it the second time) and it was pleasant, the driver spoke English well and did drive quite European (not taking extreme risks, honking every 5 seconds etc.), he didn't rush me through the sites but instead asked me how long i wanted to stay at the sites and made (good) suggestions on what I should pay attention too, again not trying to get me to stop at shops or restaurants or whatever else kinda tourist hell's there are ;) I would recommend Cairo Palace to everyone who does not expect to be treated as a guest of a 5 star hotel, its more of a familiar atmosphere.

Disliked: now for the dislikes, it's obviously loud, but that's not something the hostel can change, that's Cairo. While the Hostel itself was very clean, the building it is in does not look so inviting, so that might scare some people off, its an old building (it got one of the older french elevators with the metal gates (and its actually working ;) )) and it shows. the last thing that bothered me a bit was that there was no shower curtain, so the floor outside the shower did get wet

Liked: Airport pick-up service was very helpful for first arriving in Cairo. The rooms are large and well air-conditioned, and the location is great. Free wifi was also a plus! Skype calls can be made from the common room very easily as it is rarely crowded. They were even able to wash my clothes for me!

Disliked: The breakfast, while generous, was rather repetitive - although the traditional Egyptian breakfast which I enjoyed with the hosts was far more varied.

Liked: Useful and friendly staff. They invited me to enjoy their dinner and took me to the train station by car for free. Wifi is really strong signal which you even can skype so clearly. Big rooms and clean beds which is really good. Breakfast with fried egg, juice, bread, jam, cheese... can't be better with the money you pay.

Liked: The hotel's staff really did their very best to make me feel at home. Though there were some glitches with my stay in Egypt, they sorted it out quite well. I give the staff two thumbs-up for their excellent hospitality! The location is also great. Just a few minutes walk to Ramses Station and the Egyptian Museum. There were also lots of local restaurants around.

Disliked: Nothing. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel.

Liked: Very friendly and nice guys who running this hostel, and they will really take a lot of care of you both when you are in the hostel and outside traveling. Location is good and safe with large beautifully designed rooms and nice breakfast. And the hostel can arrange trips for travelers with acceptable price after carefully designing the route and timetable.

Disliked: Shower water is a little cold, but maybe it is ok in the hot weather.

Liked: Really nice little hotel, good location, incredible value. I started out in a smaller room and they upgraded me to a larger one for no extra cost. Rooms were clean, with free wifi, and hot water 24/7. Breakfast included. Staff were really friendly and spoke good English -- they invited me to join in their birthday celebration one night! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Disliked: Breakfast was poor, the building from outside is old but something different from inside.
