Liked: We arrived in the middle of the night but the hostel transferred us without extra fees, great stuff.once we reached the hostel we had a welcoming tea with the extraordinary Mr.Haitham, who gladly offered us some advidance in planing trips and tours since we by then had no idea where to go exactly in Egypt :)So by the end of the next day we already got everything we could wish for. Trip to Luxor, Giza Pyramids with guide and, which was a very surprising pleasure, a safari-camping trip into the white desert: IF YOU HAVE ANY FREE TIME IN CAIRO, DO THIS! It was astonishing. Sunset in the desert, eating with the beduin, a highlight.Ok, this isn't directly connected to the Hostel, buthowever, if it comes to the guides, to be honest: do it on your own.If you don't care too much for the ancient temples and scriptures etc. it's ok to have own. BUT, if you are interested in the details, taking your time, looking around, it's anoying. "Would you now please come here?"... Whatever you do, don't believe in any price the guide tells you. Entrance fees are fixed, but camels and so on... we were tricked badly, so just to let you know.But don't get me wrong, that has NOTHING to do with Alexander Hostel, Mr.Haitham is worth it ;)PS: If you plan to do bundled trips (train,hotel,guide,safari,etc.) ask for the specific prices, just to be informed..Greetings from germany!

Liked: Me and my girlfriend enjoyed our stay there . It was new and clean . and the amosphere was like dream even the Salsa music was popular , the people enjoy their woking time always happy to provide us the service and they have good exprience about the sites all over Egypt espcially the Manager Mr/ Haiham . also good and cheap programs we did one day tour only to Giza and sakara and it was perfect. good bye Alexander hotel team wok and have a good luck Mr/ Haitham...... Liked: This is my second time in Alexander hotel, It is great place and very nice staff you can feel at home and they are very happy to help you all the time. the thing that you can not found it in the 5 stars hotel, it was realy warm hosbitality during my stay at his hostel. Highly recommended......

Liked: Good location at shopping district (till late night), dining outlets, short walking distance from Nile Corniche, Egyptian Museum, Ramses Train Station & Metro. Spacious room with free internet facility. Common room for guests is spacious. Improvement - added air conditioning facility would be excellent.

Liked: Alexander hotel was very good for me, starting by the airport pick up and the well organized trip to pyramids with the knowledgeable guide Ahmed.the hotel staff also are helpful and friendly, the room was great it had balcony with good view , I will definetly come back at the end of my trip in Egypt,,,,,Thanks to Alexander hotel team work.

Liked: Breakfast was not served on time. When I arrived the toilet seat had residue of urine, I complained and either the guy didn't understand what I was talking about or he just didn't care, only demanding that the bathroom be cleaned before staying he came in and clean it. although I had made a mistake in the reservation they accomodate me and made me feel welcome. These rooms are new new new. Loved it!

Liked: REALLY SUPERB Air Conditioning, Free Wireless Internet, Nice Breakfast, GREAT Location, Very Kind and Helpful Staff. BOOK here and you will not regret it! My vacation wouldn't have been half as good if it weren't for the Egyptian hospitality and comfort of the Alexander. The tour and cruise options offered through the hotel were great as well, don't pass it up. You get more than your money's worth.

Liked: Friendly and helpful people. They also organised our tour through Egypt which included lots of visits and travel. The guides and the drivers within the tour were very helpful too. The front door of the building where the hostel is located may scare you at first though.

Liked: It has a great staff that was with us all the moments during our visit (they organize a tour for us), it made us feel relax and confident, the rooms were ok, and its is very well located, a few minutes of the Egypcian museum. Just few problems at the beginign because of the schedule with the train but they know how to overcome them. Good place and good price.

Liked: Absolutely stunning little hotel. Rooms were cool, comfortable, and beautifuly decorated. Obviously excellently located. The TV had an excellent selection of international channels available, which a lot of places with TVs in rooms don't.The manager Haitham, is also a magnificent fellow- incredibly helpful, yet not in any way pushy- which can be a rarity. After a number of bad experiences in mddle eastern tourist traps, his thorough but impartial advice was a breath of fresh air. Definitely the best place I stayed in out of a month touring the middle east.

Liked: The hotel itself is fine. It's new and kept very clean. The staff is nice and helpful, although from the moment that you check in they (somewhat forcefully) try to persuade you to pay a lot of money to do an itinerary designed by them that they inevitably get a cut of. However, if you tell them in a very straighforward manner that you're not interested, they will accept it. Overall, the hotel is nice and the staff is friendly and helpful (especially w/ giving directions). One word of warning: If you turn right when you leave the hotel and go about 2 blocks and take a left down a pedestrian walkway lined w/ restaurants and coffee shops you'll see a sign for Stella. DO NOT GO IN THERE. It's one of those places that all of the travel books warn against where they get tourists to come inside and then charge them 245 Egyptian Pounds for 2 beers.

Liked: My husband and I stayed at Alexander Hostel for 8 night. I need wifi in our room. but we couldn't use all day. We can use just the lan cable at living room. The facilites is every thing is new and clean and every staff is great! ...heilful and kindness! Location is middle of central in Cairo. It's very convenience.

Liked: central location, friendly & kindly staffs, this hotel is just newly opened, so the rooms are clean& suitable for anyone.receptionist Mr.Hatham is very helpfull & he can organise nice tours to everywhere in egypt. The guide speaks excellent English language.I really enjoyed the days in Egypt and this hotel.You must stay there!

Liked: We arrived in Cairo at 2am with lots of hope but not much plan and only 5 days. By 3.30 we had the whole trip organised by the magical Mr Haitham. His recommendations fitted perfectly with our expectations and the ease with which everything was achieved was masterful. For anyone considering a tour or just a helping hand I cannot recommend Mr Haitham and his guides highly enough. They are brilliant. Nothing in our trip was a hassle, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you for making our trip.
