Liked: I've been traveling all around Egypt, staying in hostels at Luxor, Aswan and Dahab, definitely Alexander Hostel in Cairo is by far the best one! Friendly staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, accurate tourist information and a very good-central location in Cairo!

Disliked: good no complaint .

Liked: Very, very cheap. Once they have done their initial sales pitch, the staff are actually very pleasant.

Disliked: Place is quite dirty. The bathroom in the dorm is seldom cleaned and is quite filthy. The sink is so clogged up that it takes about an hour to drain after you use it. The shower has no drain so the recess quickly floods surrounding your feet with a soup of hair and grime. The dorm room has no window so it is permanently dark. When you arrive the staff before anything else will sit you down and try and convince you to buy one of their tours. The breakfast is also pretty average, (sweet bread, tea and fig jam) but I wasn't expecting more than this for 30 egp a night.

Liked: Friends of mine recommended this hostel to us and it was very good , we liked the staff , the location and it was clean . the room was very convenient had A/C and private bathroom so we didn't feel the hot weather , always refresh after visiting the sites . they also offer very good deals for tours around the city we used some and it was for reasonable cost with honest guys .

Disliked: may be if they can improve the breakfast .

Liked: The fast wireless lan, 24 hours reception, friendly staff.

Disliked: Water dripping, moscitos in the room. Later i changed rooms and it was better.

Liked: I liked the staff of the hostel, they are warm, well meaning and helpful, they are really like a family. The hostel is in middle of a downtown, so you really have a feeling you're in the heart of the city. They come to pick you up at the airport free of charge, and also organize sight tours by very cheap prices.

Liked: The hotel has an excellent location, the staff is great, Haitham, Ahmed, and all the team are really helpfull , we had some tours with him and were excellent! we 100% recomend the hotel if you go to Cairo! since the moment they picked us up in the airport until the day we left the attention was perfect.

Liked: Egypt is Safe don't worry , the people are very helpful , and the sites are great . Alexander hostel rooms are very good for the price I would stay here again .

Disliked: Only the Breakfast , but to be honest it is OK for the price .
