We stayed at Juliana Hotel for 6 nights, We were warmly welcomed by our free pick-up service at the Airport, and shown straight to our room on arrival. It is in a very safe and secure area, and only a short walk to downtown Cairo. The room was very comfortable, spacious with a large wardrobe and icy-cold air conditioning - an absolute must for the hot days wondering around the sites! Our linen was changed every 2 days and the bed made every day! The shared shower facility was also spacious and very clean. 24hr hot water, which was welcomed after past experiences! The staff were very attentive and helpful, spoke excellent English and friendly. They also kept to their word and provided our special offer transfer to the Giza pyramids for our 6 day booking. All in all an excellent time enjoyed by a backpacker couple.

Staff very friendly & helpful, especially Hany. Arranged all transfers to & from the airport ~ also organised excursions at a fair price. Hany also arranged return flights to Luxor for us & recommended places of interest to visit along with practical advice re safety etc. Would definately stay here again.

This has got to be one of our favourite hostels we have stayed in throughout worldwide, the owner are very knowledgeable and helped plan out our days for us so we wouldn't miss anything. Its very fun and close to the Egyptian Museum. Great for groups, students and solo travellers. Great clean hostel!

All Personnel was approachable, friendly and willing to assist. The place is located a walking distance from the Museum of Cairo, the Nile river, and among all major embassies of the world-which makes it safer because you have all kinds of security around. Hani - the manager and Dave - one of his assistants- were particularly helpful in providing directions, tips, information, safety precautions and arranging tours. Don't hesitate to ask assistance or tips from these guys because they have a wealth of information at the tip of their tongues. Dave provided us with a great, honest Tour Guide, Yuseff, - if you want a real tour guide ask for Yuseff! He spoke English and gave us an excellent tour of the Giza plateau, Sakara, and Memphis. These were the major points of interest of our visit to Egypt. Youseff is a knowledgeable tour guide on Egypt history and has a university degree in Tourism. The place is air conditioned, clean, and they did daily cleaning in our room. You also have free access to wi-fi, so don’t forget your laptop. Hani was particularly concerned with the room being kept cleaned and fresh all the time. We had access to many satellite TV channels, not that we were there to see TV but it is nice to watch programs in your language after a day of hassle on the streets of Cairo. They will also pick you up at the airport if you let them know in advance. Overall we had a great experience at this place, we received a good value for our money and we highly recommend this property to anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune to visit Egypt. Great job guys, keep it up! As a last word of advice, beware of Egypt’s Voltage, which is 200V. Make sure all your power supplies support 200V input or bring a transformer with you before you leave home, otherwise you may not be able to charge your electronic devices – Cell phone, Laptop, Camera, etc., unless you buy a transformer. Also bring an adapter to plug your 3 pin cables into 2 pin cables used in Egypt – no ground.

We have become even better room than the one we had ordered (for the same price). Extra possibilities: kitchen for cooking, free internet, free airport transport at arrival, free railway station transport when we left. Nice international staff, very helpful. Area is silent and safe, in the center. Definitely recommended by us (a young backpackers couple).

This was my second stay at the Juliana Hotel, it was recommended to me by a group of friends who stayed here and really enjoyed their time. I highly recommend it. It is extremely clean and comfortable and most importantly I felt very safe here. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. They are able to help with anything you need and can answer any questions you have about Cairo or anywhere else in Egypt. Also Hany is fantastic at organizing any tour you could wish to do.

Great free wireless internet and A/C, which came in handy in the summer heat. The staff was friendly, but a couple did not speak much English.

Hani, the owner could not have been more helpful and friendly. The location is EXTREMELY safe! British, Canadian and US embassies are literally 2 minutes away plus many large banks, so there are guards everywhere around the clock. There was no problem walking around the area at night. Hani's tour recommendations were wonderful! I would absolutely return! Thanks to Hani for a wonderful stay!!!!!

Juliana hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Take the Giza pyramid tour and the Nile Boat cruise... they were awesome!! Rooms were big and clean and the free breakfast was pretty good too. They are even driving us to the bus station tonight for free. We ended up staying a couple extra days because we liked it here so much. Would definately come back!

Hani, the owner, was exceptionally helpful. Really enjoyed our stay with the whole family. While you can never completely get away from the car-horns and muezzins in Cairo, Hotel Juliana was in a relatively quiet spot, only 10 min walk from the Egyptian museum.

Ideal location, easy & safe walking distance to downtown, shops & museum! It was a little difficult for my taxi driver to find the location as it's buried within various embassies i think the hostel/hotel needs a neon sign on the ground floor outside to point the way! The atmosphere was great, I got to meet fellow travellers and we shared our experiences and gave each other advice. The hostel could do with a communal sitting area with comfy sofas and a board with a map of tourist attractions, neighbouring roads, restaurants, shops and various amenities. Another thing that would be good to have on this board is to have pamplets so that guests have information regarding restaurants are nearby rather than wondering round to find somewhere clean & good to eat! It was a clean and tidy hostel with very helpful staff, it was nice to meet Hani (the owner)! David thank you for all your helpful advice during my stay (and of course little Karim who kept us occupied during his shift at the hostel). I would definitely recommend it to friends and will be visiting again soon! Roshni
