Liked: Hostel Brothers is by far the best out of the over 10 highly rated hostels I have stayed at over the past few years. The Hostel is the best because the hostel is safe, the atmosphere is friendly, and the morning Egyptian tea is excellent. Mohammad (owner) and his staff are also very kind and helpful. They try there hardest to make your stay in Egypt exceed your expectations. DO NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!- Walter A.K.A. Rambo

Liked: does what it says on the box at a very good price, and airport pickup is a great bonus. but breakfast was disappointing and common area primarily for staff, so awkward for travellers to interact. their 'help' is primarily for selling their tours/packages (travellers who bought these spoke well about them) - they refused to sell me a train ticket because i already had a hotel booking in luxor and could not take their package. but the air-con room/balcony on talat harb street were fabulous (noisy, why come to cairo if you want peace/quiet?!), and the owners/staff were generally very nice - so a small shift in focus and style (and moving the furniture a bit to make the common area more usable) could make this very good hostel a great one....

Liked: We had an enjoyable stay at Brothers. We booked three nights and got a free airport pick up - the driver was there smiling and waiting for us when arrived even though we were an hour late. We were in a back room which was very very quiet. Staff were freindly and din't push tours on us.The only negative is that the hostel did lack character and there wasn't much communal area. The area that was available was usually full with staff/drivers/friends/random egyptians who were there watching television.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay! Great location---within walking distance to the Khan el Khalili market, Nile river, and the Egyptian museum. Very clean and the staff make you feel right at home. Assistance with tour/sight seeing options is readily available. Our tour guides/drivers were very friendly and helpful. Fabulous time. Highly recommend it. Thank-you to the staff !

Liked: Wonderful hostel in Cairo, Great Great Great deal for the money. Very clean with a friendly and helpful staff that speaks great english. Are willing to arrange anything for you. Would def recommend for any type of traveler. When I come back to Cairo I will def stay there again!

Liked: Great hostel in a good location for the egyptian museum,giza, train and food. Noisy, but that's expected when you stay downtown Cairo. If you want a quiet room request room 408. Spoke very good english. You could save alot of money and do the tours on your own. Read up on your material before arriving and you'd be fine with going without a tour guide. I rented books and videos from the local library (free) before I went. It was so busy in the tourist areas that it was hard to hear your english speaking guide anyways. They need guided tours with headsets to be really worth the extra money! Would stay here again for sure.

Liked: The hostel was just as described, and I would stay there again. The only con I have would be the tour guide the hostel booked for us for Giza. It was a complete rip off-EXPENSIVE! I would highly suggest taking the metro to Giza and getting a taxi to the pyramids.

Liked: This has been the most enjoyable hostel experience ever had thus far. All ammenities were amazing. Felt at home. Brothers were outstanding. Airport pickup was essential. Custom booked a tour though Egypt. Amazing.

Liked: A fairly new establishment. Room is clean and big. It has kitchen and washing machine (though we didn't stay in the hostel long enough to make use of them). Friendly staffs. Close to metro and egyptian museum. Though situated on a busy street, the hostel is quiet, good for tired traveller who wants to get some good sleep.
