Liked: The downtown location was perfect for going to the Nile, visiting the Egyptian Museum, and most everything else. The staff were all extremely helpful and truly wanted all of us to have a great stay.

Disliked: There was nothing not to like.

Liked: I enjoyed my stay in this hostel very much. The location is very convinient; only a short walk from the airport bus and the egyprian museum. The hostel is very clean, especially bathrooms. Besho and Hoba were so helpful and gave me great information around this area. I also asked to organize my trip to Aswan and Luxor as there is a great hussle for a girl traveling alone in this country, which was very well planned with a reasonable price. I will definitely coe back here again!

Liked: Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Not in a nice neighbourhood and in a shabby building. Was there for four days and nothing in room was cleaned during that time. Smoking allowed everywhere in hostel. Breakfast very small.

Liked: was an excellent place to stay while in Cairo! The staff were all really friendly and willing to answer any questions we had, and help us organise day trips. Is really central to everything too, and the rooms were fab. Thanks guys! x

Liked: Don''t let the building and the lift fool you. At first I thought it was a very dodgy location with a worn down lift, but once we stepped into the hostel it exceeded what i had expected. The staff were very friendly and great at providing information for all our activities even though we did not book it through them. The place is small, but provides a cosy atmosphere.. The lounge area is amazing, very comfortable with a great view and the rooms are all very spacious. I would strongly recommend this hostel to anyone who would be staying in Cairo.

Disliked: My only problem was two charges. one for the internet and one for the laundry, which were both slightly overpriced and I thought that the internet should have been free. But other than that, I think it was a great hostel and will definitely exceed your expectation.

Liked: I really like staying in this hostel. As a first time in Cairo I was pretty shocked with other environment in cairo in general, but as i stayed in this hostel, I could feel that it is really clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed staying here! Thanks for all the staffs.

Liked: Airport Pickup worked perfectly - Very goos advices on trips (Gizee) and nice and cozy rooms.Very friendly staff and Perfect Location. Would advice anybody to stay here, when you are coming to Cairo.

Liked: All the employees were nice, friendly and helpful. Haidy was outgoing in assisting us with the best sight seeing/tour locations, the best mode of transportaion, and places to eat. Her assistance is really appreciated.

Liked: Towels were free! Place is very clean. Air con good. Location fabulous. Staff friendly and don´t push tours. TV turned down at 11pm which is fine for us.Smoking allowed in common room which is either a plus or a negative depending on your habits... Showers clean and extreme, but quite small shower area and nowhere to put shampoo etc - not a big problem, but being tall it was a minor irritation. Were tld beakfast was from 8 which meant we didnt get any as we went to see pyramids before this. Last year I stayed here, and breakfast was from 7 which was much more useful. Good place.

Liked: This place is great value for money and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Situated only a couple of minutes from the Egyptian museum and in downtown it is a very good location to place yourself when exploring Cairo.

Liked: Peter and all the people who worked at the Wake Up Cairo were fabulous! They catered to our every need and offered day trips to a variety of locations throughout Egypt for a reasonable rate. They neighborhood took us a little by suprise due to it being in a mechanic type area, but we got out with the people and found them to be especially nice. Everyone wanted to know our names and where we were from. They were happy to see us and we got to know some people well as we tried to eat close by at least once a day. The food in our neighborhood was very inexpensive compared to the tourist locations. We got great pizza down the street. Three of them would feed a family of four for about $3 US!!! There is also a Koshari restaurant for about $9 US for a whole family and a rotessiare chicken place, very reasonable also!
