Liked: Great value for money. Free breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Let us leave our bags there without question. Aircon!

Liked: the staff were very helpful. we organised a 5 day tour to aswan & luxor with the hostel which included all transfers & picks ups... easy! would stay with them again :)

Disliked: the entry wasn't so glamorous but dont be turned off by it once up the elevator and onto the floors the place is great. some staff really good and some not so much...

Liked: Staff was incredible! Heidy was a wealth of information and is always willing to help. It was right near everything you need in Cairo and an easy walk from anything else. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Disliked: No lockers but your hostelmates become like your family so it's a very trusting environment.

Liked: The staff were great, they organised our whole trip for reasonable prices.

Disliked: It is in an area that doesnt really cater well to tourists, quite dirty and out of the way of shops, restaurants, etc

Liked: The staff was amazing, very helpful, and the tiny streets behind the hostel made for excellent adventures. Bathrooms and kitchen were always clean and the super-friendly staff made my otherwise hectic trip to Cairo extremely enjoyable. Definitely recommend this place!

Liked: Very central - close to restaurants with nice local cuisines, supermarket, the Nile, Egyptian Museum, metro, bus station and train station. The staff are awesome, especially Haidy! Very friendly, welcoming, professional and helpful. They make you feel comfortable and safe, with lots of interesting (and funny) insights, information and advice about Cairo and other places to visit in Egypt. I travelled in and out of Cairo. This hostel became my home.

Liked: The hostel is very clean and has a fantastic view of the Nile and Cairo tower. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and they offer good trips. Some taxi drivers seem to have problems finding the location, if this happens to you the hostel is located on the corner of Ramses St & Marouf St. There is a sign for the hostel inside the ground floor of the building visible from the road. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the Wake Up Cairo hostel.

Liked: The place was very clean, and also in a very good location.

Disliked: The misleading information on the website I wrote about above. Also they 'nickle and dime' you for everything...the website says it has WiFi, but they charge you 20 egyptian pounds for 24 hours of use! Also, if you want to use the computers they have, they charge you 10 egyptian pounds an hour! Also, when I checked in they offered me a tea/coffee, which they made it seem would be complimentary, then when I finished it, they charged me for it!

Liked: very friendly and helpful staff, very centrally located. They let me stay until 9pm without charge to catch my plane. Would recommend to other travelers.

Disliked: 7th floor, but there was an elevator.

Liked: Convenient location, excellent service, very clean, staff are very friend and very helpful. We really enjoyed the tours this hostel offered.Price is reasonable.

Disliked: As Asians walking on the street, it's a bit intimidating. Somehow people stare at us. One man tried to grab my daughter while she was walking ahead of us. We are mad.

Liked: One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in (and better than most budget hotels). Brand new, amazingly clean, awesome bathrooms, a fun common space, and great staff. Would absolutely recommend to any friends visiting Cairo.

Liked: Wake Up Cairo Hostel has an ideal location along with great staff that made the stay more than enjoyable. The staff were excellent in providing all types of guidance such as what to see as well as what to look out for when visiting the city. The hostel itself is excellent for meeting people and has great facilities! I definitely recommend here for backpackers who are looking at staying in Cairo!

Liked: Very friendly staff! They gave us a free tour to the pyramids of giza for staying three nights. The driver they picked was a fantastic guy.The rooms are nice and clean and the location is perfect.A very nice hotel to stay when you are in Cairo on a budget!
