Well, this is one of the best budget hostels I have been too. I had all I need. A private single room with a private bathroom, a double size bed, AC, Tv with Satellite channels and wireless internet in my room.. all and with a great price! One thing that I should mention as well is how friendly the staff is. They were always doing their best to provide anything I needed, really flexible and always greeting me with a smile. I will definitely come here again and will surely recommend this hostel!

great location, friendly staff who are able to communicate in by excelent English and funny all the time while serving you, the cleaness is an important thing and its daily and very good because of the interesting of the management . the manager himself follow all the time his staff to assure that they are doing the best to the guests, and also checking after the tours if it was good and fair or not but all of it was amazing and we had any complaint , highly recomended....THANK YOU .

Pretty much everything. The staff was top notch for one. We booked a week of activities through Mr. Haitham who made a great "schedule" for us to do, starting a few hours upon our arrival upon our request. That trip he booked was almost flawless, great value for very reasonable price. He had staff take us to the bus and train stations as well as the airport for no extra charge. They carried our bags and everything and were very friendly. We had mostly private cars which were enjoyable with friendly drivers. The accomodations that we booked elsewhere through Haitham turned out to be very lovely, always someone waiting to pick us up in these different towns, again, with charge included in the payment we originally gave. The hostel itself is safe and we had no problems, we are staying our final night here and until then we can store any baggage we dont want to lug around with us. When we arrived back from the white desert they had a room waiting for us to rest and shower in, even though we were booked on an overnight train the same evening. The itinerary made for us fit according to our plans very nicely, we only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the staff! They have laundry services, a computer, breakfast in the morning (bread and spreads with tea, traditional breakfast), some rooms have televisions...overall it was quite enjoyable. One suggestion: Make sure to ask for a room with a shower curtain, and get a taxi driver who knows where their going OR call the hotel and they will send someone to receive you from the airport or station for a reasonable fee. Lots and lots of praises for this hotel and Mr Haitham!

staff were so helpful they helped with information for the rest of our trip outside of Cairo. While we were their they organised a driver for us (Muser?) who was fantastic, I would highly recommend him. Even after we checked out they let us come back and use the facilities.

The staff made it so easy to do everything - they made extra sure I was always safe and enjoying my time. They arranged all of my tours around Egypt for me- I can't imagine trying to figure all of it out on my own. I would most definitely stay here again.

Good Service rgarding tours. we took two tours and they both were great. (Giza Pyramids and City Tour) eventhough they were pushy about selling tours and arranging your stay in Egypt.

Very friendly and helpful, cheap, middle of the city, nice view from the roof, 12th floor, good terrace to seat with the bottle of wine.. only one thing to improve, sometimes internet is not working, but they are working on this problem and I'm sure they will fix it.

the area and people were amazing. very friendly and willing to help any way possible. We actually organised our whole Egypt trip, from there through there travel Agent Haitham, 10 days with no worries. They also offer satelite TV and its one of te few places on our world trip were you can watch some English Tv after a whole day of sightseeing. internet price very reasoable and cokes, water can be purchased at a good price from REception. there is a lovely Egyption family restuarant around the corner "the Gad" were we ate most of or meals at a very good price. Highly recommend it

It's located very centrally in downtown Cairo, which made finding our way back after wandering the city easy--a problem I've had when I stayed in other out-of-the-way hostels in the past. The staff was very helpful and very nice and understanding, even helping us with seemingly silly questions about Egyptian/Muslim culture which made getting along around the city a bit easier (i.e. how short is too short for girls' pants, etc.). Haitham helped with booking our tours--we did one to Giza and one to Luxor. Both were fantastic! For a reasonable price, we got a private driver and tour guide for just the three of us in both places. Be careful of some of the smaller things though; the falukha rides and whatnot weren't worth it, and we were glad we hired a falukha on our own (much cheaper, and it was just the three of us instead of joining a larger group from the hotel; others also said that the 'entertainment' on the larger boats offered through the hotels are often cheesy and touristy, while being on our own falukha was a far more authentic and enjoyable experience). Overall, the RamsesII was very good--nothing fancy as far as the rooms go, but for the price, very much worth it. Our room had a balcony (I believe every room does) which was great. There was wireless internet (good for looking up where you want to go) but it's very slow in the rooms; I had to take my computer up to the dining room on the roof (which, by the way, is very cool!) to get any decent connection, but it was nice up there, so it didn't bother me much. I felt safe bringing my computer there; they have a lock-box, but I didn't use it. Also, if you're a bit of a control-freak, be warned that they make you turn in the key when you leave the hostel and give it back to you when you come back every time... it threw me off a little at first, but then we got used to it (even liked it--no losing the key!). Overall: Great value, great people, great location, highly recommended!

Me and my friend stayed at this hostel for two nights and we could not complain about anything. they were extremely welcoming and helpful to us with whatever we needed. they have personalized private tours and contacts to a variety of tourism for a good price for budget backpackers. there is a special employee who specializes in arranging tour packages according to your needs and wants around egypt. you cannot go wrong with this guy as he has many contacts and it is a bit of a challenge finding it on your own around here.
