Liked: A really cool hostel with an excellent location in downtown Cairo. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful about what to do in Egypt. Ended up spending an extra night there and would recommend to all travellers to try it out.Fantastic job Australian Hostel!!!

Liked: Wonderful atmosphere! Eslem, Achmed, Mustafa, and Peter were all great! A very friendly and open environment, great place to meet people! Free internet and free breakfast were also a plus!

Disliked: Could have been a bit cleaner, especially the bathrooms.

Liked: It's a really cool place with a young crowd and awesome people that are working the desk! I enjoyed that the room I stayed in was one another floor than the lobby of the hostel so I could just come and go as if I was living in an apartment in downtown Cairo :) I think that it was well kept up for an egypt and I think you will like it there if you go!

Disliked: There is a lot of cigarette smoking in the lobby of the hostel, the breakfast is not that great

Liked: A really excellent hostel. There's a reason why a tonne of reviews mention how nice the staff are. The guys are all very friendly, helpful and really made my stay in Cairo and at the hostel very enjoyable.

Liked: Nice place to stay in Downtown! Helpful staff with good knowledge of English, they helped a lot to organize other trips. Free internet was a great plus! Spacious and clean rooms and even when there was a problem with the water supply they called a plumber and after a few hours it was solved. Average breakfast, but who cares?

Liked: the rooms were clean, though our bedspread was pretty gross and i didn't even want to sit on it. (maybe they should get duvet covers for them so that they could wash those every once in a while and make them appear to be clean.) the bathrooms needed to be cleaned more often than they were and we had to always ask for more toilet paper. the breakfast was standard. the staff was really helpful and very friendly. overall, a fine place to stay for a couple of nights.

Liked: The staff was AMAZING. They were so nice and sooo helpful. I would highly recommend this hostel to everyone. It is in the heart of downtown Cairo, a great area to sight see (close to the nile river, the egyptian museum and many other attractions). it is a very lively neighborhood, never a dull moment so the location is great. the private tours they offer are wonderful and you cannot find a better price anywhere. the hostel was very clean and the rooms were spacious! if your going to cairo, stay in this hostel!!!!!

Liked: The staff are like my family now. They are very helpful for example writing place names in Arabic for you. Some of the most friendliest guys you can ever meet. I loved my stay and would recommend it to everyone.

Liked: Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Location is great, rooms big and bathroom big and clean. the cats aren't friendly so don't try and touch them! they scratch and bite, mean kitties. anyway, you'll have a great time here, thanks aussie hostel for making our cairo stay so awesome.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff, clean and value hostel. I've been in three diferent rooms and both have aircon. Very very good option to be in el Cairo even in summer. It is also a very good place to organize every trip you wanna do in egypt.In the way back i'll stay here again for sure.
