Liked: Hotel Luna is not the very cheapest place in Cairo, nor at the very best location, but you do get value for money. Very friendly and helpful english speaking staff is glad to help you with getting to/from the airport, taxis across town, or ordering bus tickets. The main drawback is that it is on the 5th floor (and those floors are high!); so it's either a long way up by stairs or take the dodgy looking elevator..

Liked: It was very clean and the rooms were spacious. Good breakfast.Was a bit disappointed about the area as it was very commercially busy, mostly just retail stores. Very few restaurants within walking distance. Also, although it is close to the museum, it is NOT easy to walk to as the roads are many lanes, very busy and extemely difficult to cross. Same is true for the bus station which is claimed to be nearby. Yes, it is close enough, but not truly close enough to get to with your bags/etc. Better to take a cab. So, if you really need to take a cab to efficiently get around, I would recommend staying in an area that has more restaurant choices. This is all , of course, not the Luna's fault. The hostel itself is very comfortable with nice staff.

Liked: I only stayed for one night - location is good - near the train station, Museum. the staff were very helpful, especially as we arrived late at night due to our flight being delayed. generally the room was clean and good value for money.

Liked: We liked that it was a real quiet place (we booked this option) - yet it was very central; the driver we got was very friendly and trips were organized on a good value for money base.

Liked: Very good location in downtown Cairo. Rooms were excellent considering it's a budget hotel / hostel! Staff friendly and very helpful, would definitely stay again if in Cairo.

Liked: Great location. 24 hour front desk means the UK travellers arrriving late can check in very easily. to be recommended. The staff are very helpful

Liked: Friendly staff, 24 h services, central location and value for the money. But the rooms should be cleaned daily. In our room only the beds were done. Nevertheless I would recommend this hostel. Compared to other hostels its worth the money
