Liked: This hostel was just ok, rooms were simple if not a little dated. The lobby only had one computer and the tv was mainly being watched by the reception staff. Breakfast was good and complimentary on the first night. Staff were helpful with advice.

Disliked: There were so many unfair rules which ruined our stay a bit - ie if you don't pay for all nights upfront you risk loosing your reservation for nights unpaid!! No luggage storage after 2pm. No facilities can be used after check out unless you book on one of their trips (which I personally found overpriced). There is a long list that they make you sign.

Liked: They let us in a 4am in the morning when our bus was two hours early. Great breakfast for $2 dollars extra Nice terrace area Good shower

Disliked: They hand you a list of about 1000 rules when you get there. Also you can't store your luggage past 2pm on the day you leave unless you book a tour through them, so if you need to do this don't stay there as it's an extra $10 dollars

Liked: I like the friendly and helpfull staff, the security and cleanliness of the place and the great location, very easy to get public transportation.

Disliked: Nothing, it was exactly what I was looking for.

Liked: It was very clean and quiet and had a great rooftop terrace!

Disliked: Reception didn´t open until 9am and closed by around 5pm so if you needed anything before or after those hours, there was no one. The one morning we would have liked for someoe to call us a taxi but there was absolutely no one there to help us!

Liked: Two ladies at front desk were very nice and helpful. Owner a bit gruff. Nice airy bright room. Not the best location, not alot around. Breakfast good. There are a lot of rules, which seem a bit much. They have excellent delivery pizza.

Disliked: Rules. Size of towels.

Liked: Family run hostel and the owners were so helpful. We arrived at 5:00am with nowhere else to go and were greeted with a smile even though our reservation had not yet come through. We were given a room so we could get some sleep even though we had only booked for the following night (and they didn't charge for this). Can't fault them.

Disliked: Nothing (for budget accommodation)

Liked: Good location near the Old Town and (for a city hostel) fairly quiet. Good breakfast, useful kitchen, and bright cheery staff.

Liked: The staff was very, very helpful. Fernando (at the reception) even went to the supermarket to get us a phonecard when it was after dark and the nearby supermarket was already closed. His interest in your activities and his presence when you return after a day out, makes it feel like home.The roof terrace is very nice. In the morning at breakfast and especially in the evening it is a good place to sit and have fun with the other guests. You can also cook for yourself if you don´t feel like going out.

Disliked: If you want a hostel with a bar and raving parties, this is not the hostel for you. It is a quiet hostel where you can meet people in a relaxed environment. The staff will be pleased to take you out if you want to.

Liked: Very helpful staff in a nice and safe location. They even had an own taxi driver who brought us to the airport the last day; cheap, safe and on time! The staff is very friendly and likely to advice you, in proper english! Clean rooms and a cheap and good breakfast in the morning. Submitted: excellent choise.

Disliked: You had to book (and pay) the breakfast the day before, with the exact timing, which is not always predictable (hangover...)

Liked: This property has an excellent location midway between the old and new towns - 15 min walk to heart of either. The terrace on the 4th floor has excellent views and is a great place to enjoy a beer in the afternoon. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Liked: While staying here my girlfriend was sick with one of those great tropical mystery viruses that doctors just shake their heads at - the staff were very helpful directing me to pharmacies and the like and making sure we didn't have to change rooms when we extended our stay. They clean the rooms every day, and clean thoroughly which is great.The rooms can be noisy at night, but that is not the fault of the staff, just some people coming in late at night forgetting how thin the walls are. Beyond that it is a great base in Quito.

Liked: Very Clean and secure

Disliked: found it hard to speak to staff member as their English was very bad, also the place was very dark, good hostel for people who don't want to socialize and make friends.

Liked: Good sized bedroom and bathroom that were cleaned every day. Staff very helpful and location ws great, 2 mins walk into old town. Only downside was not very sociable place so not easy to meet people.
