liked everything.... was in a great location near to the old town and the new town, easy access to transport, staff were very friendly and helpful, and great atmosphere.

Chicago is by far the best hostel I have stayed in, and my hostel experience goes back decades. If you really want an inside look at the culture of Ecuador, Chicago will give it to you. Chicago is a family run hostel. The common room has the feel of a living room. Comfortable couches, a small library, well stocked bar, cable TV and internet. Almost everyone during my 5 week stay in Chicago has commented on friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is complimentary and served on the rooftop terrace with a view that is pretty fantastic. Very, very clean, safe, great location for both the historic Quito and the city´s clubs. I recommend Chicago without hesitation.

Crazy nights of ecuadorian partying, Theresa the owner plying everyone with drink, everyone is so friendly, I´ve been to the secret garden as well and Chicago is way better - still got the partying, but in an ecuadorian style rather than a tourist/backpacker style! I really don´t want to leave!

I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the welcoming feel: it has a good family vibe and I was never made to feel like I d left home despite being on the other side of the world. They also manage to keep the place surprisingly clean considering it s size.

The staff is super helpful and friendly, the free breakfast is delicious, and the Old Town location is good for site seeing but not so great for partying.

i precisely liked that this was not a place to party but that instead it was run by a local ecuadorian family and thus offered more of a true flavour of the country

the breakfast on the terrace on top of the hostel with a beautiful view of the old town of Quito. And the fresh fruit was delicious!

the staff was great, friendly, helpful and english was spoken very well. the rooftop breakfast included in the price can´t be beat. it is close to the trolley and in the safe part of town, i highly reccomend it.

This hostel has an excellent location very close to the historical center. The breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace and is good. Staff very friendly and helpful. As this hostel is now in Lonely Planet it is a good idea to book in advance, specifically on weekends. Good value and fun.

Everytihng, the staff are welcoming an freindly, the hostel is perfectly clean, the brekky is great and the location is perfect in the old town. Highly reccomended!
