About Chicago Hostel

Chicago Hostel is conveniently located in Quito, more exactly at the border between the Old and New Town. Our hostel is located to 8 minutes away to the largest and best -preserved historic center in the Americas and 20 minutes away to La Mariscal (walking distances). There is a main avenue just one block away from our hostel where you can catch any public transportation including the TROLE BUS, ECOVIA BUS and if you walk a little bit more you can catch the METROVIA BUS as well.

The new airport is open now and Chicago hostel is close to every different alternatives that exist to come from/to this airport, all of this for making easier your stay in this amazing city.

Our hostel is designed to welcome tourists coming from all the world, people who wants to receive an excellent customer service and besides people who requires comfort, tranquility, security, rest and a moderate level of fun, all of these inside an amazing atmosphere.

Our hostel; comfort and relaxation start in the bedrooms hence these ones have to be spacious with private bathrooms and hot water 24/7. We offer daily housekeeping; we provide towels, body soap, toilet paper, linens and blankets.

You have not seen Quito before you have seen it from our Glass Covered Top Terrace, so here is the place to start a good day enjoying a delicious breakfast, sharing a nice chat with other travelers or just using our WIFI or our PC with internet. During the evening and night time you will have the opportunity to enjoy a beer with an amazing view of the Old Town on lights.

Our lobby-bar is designed to enjoy a delicious real hot coffee or a cold beer or enjoying a book which you can also swap your finished book for a new one. If you are a person who loves internet you are welcome to use our WIFI. This area provide you cable TV, good music, international radio stations, pool table, darts, Chinese checkers, chess, a front desk, tourist information, etc . Also you can use our general security lockers, luggage storage service or the mailbox.

Our staff is ready to help you with anything you need from making a booking for a taxi until making a booking for a Galapagos tour or just help you to delivery food to our place, so you will feel the comfort without worries for so little details.

Standard rooms.- These rooms come with private bathroom. We have single, double, twin, triple or quadruple rooms of this category
Basic rooms.- These rooms have shared bathroom. We have only one single room of this category.

Besides, we offer you one mixed dorm with shared bathroom and one female dorm with private bathroom.

Location Information

We are located 10 minutes away from La Plaza Grande at the old town and 25 minutes away from Plaza Foch at the Mariscal (walking distance). Chicago Hostel is located to 1 block (to the east) from San Blas hostel, 2 blocks (to the north) from La Guayunga and Secret Garden hostels, and 4 blocks (to the south) from Revolution hostel. We are in the middle of all these hostels.

We are close to the best Old Town Sights recommended by lonely planet guide book (9 Edition, August 2012): La Compania de Jesus, Museo de la Ciudad, Cathedral, Basilica del Voto Nacional, Casa del Alabado, Centro de Arte Contemporaneo, Casa Museo Maria Augusta Urrutia

Our place is located near to the more important Bus Stops as Ecovia, Trolebus and Metrobus and from these buses is very easy to go to La Mitad del Mundo, Pululahua volcano, airport, Interprovinciales bus stations at the south or north of Quito or different local bus stations.
