Liked: Was like staying at a friend's house. Really friendly, beautiful house. Good kitchen. Helpful owners. Cute dogs.10 minute walk from La Mariscal but it's nice to be in a quiet area.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It was a pleasant stay. The owner was ok, no more no less. The dogs were very friendly and the garden was very good.

Disliked: what I didn't like was nothing to do with the hostel. It was the noise and the polution of Quito. From 6 am, horns and strange sounds police-like were a constant presence.

Liked: Absolutely loved this place! The house is beautiful, great location in quiet neighborhood. Kitchen, garden and people were very nice.

Disliked: Maybe it would be good to have an extra bathroom/shower.

Liked: La Casona de Mario was a great place for an extended stay in Quito. The rooms are clean and the double room was a good size. The kitchen, although small, is well stocked and good for cooking, which was great for us as we were in Quito for 3 weeks so didn't want to eat out all the time. There's a supermarket 1 block away, the property is incredibly secure, and it's close enough to the new town that you can walk there (though not at night) but you're not right in the middle of the Mariscal area.

Disliked: The hostel is very cold at night and there seems to be no extra heating. We had extra blankets but it wasn't a great fix.

Liked: Safely located in La Floresta area. Quiet and layed back hostel. If you are traveling single, small chance you might link up with others. Hot water and towel. La Mariscal area is walking distance. Owner (Mario) can arrange you a taxi to airport (you pay taxi driver).

Disliked: Pablo left no negative feedback.
