Liked: If you are a party hostel kind of person, this is not your place. This is a lovely house that is quiet and secure. I would strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a tranquil place to spend their time in Quito. It is a bit out of the way, but only a $2 cab ride from anywhere you would like to go. Or a 10 or 15 minute walk. Security is very, very good, and there are many food and internet shops close by. Close to all public transit. Very nice for solo travelers. Hot showers.

Liked: I felt very safe in this hostel and the owner is really nice and very helpful. She drove us to the bus when we visited Mitad del Mundo. She speaks english, spanish and italian. And she understands french, too. Muchas gracias a la Señora.

Liked: Host Luigina is so personable, and provides incredible value in a beautiful home setting. There is a real benefit to staying at this location for such a great rate!!! For what you save, you can easily come out ahead even by taking taxis to other areas of city, to purchase and store your own food products for meals, etc. A quiet, tranquil and safe place away from the noise and party scene of other locales - definitely appeal for the more mature and single traveler. Luigina went out of her way to be helpful, even taking us to a mall to purchase a camera to replace a lost one. If you can, ask for the room with patio access and enjoy the morning sunshine!!

Disliked: For the great rate offered, be prepared to provide your own toilet tissue (first roll is on the house). A two-night minimum stay is required, which was not a problem for me, but the information should be stated on web site and other online information. Also know that the owner is very security conscious and even locks up most books on the shelf. Would be really nice is current guide books and information were made available. I would recommend this place and choose to stay there again next time I am in Quito.

Liked: the owner went out of her way to be helpful, helped with altitude sickness, got a taxi for me going to the airport at 4AM, offered to buy food for me when I got in on a late flight and then followed through. it was a great place to stay and I will go back.

Liked: Awesome house with 5 rooms, kitchen, spacious livingroom and a terrace with a beautiful view over Quito and Cotopaxi. Very open and friendly owner. I enjoyed my stay very much!

Liked: The location is in a very safe neighborhood, and the hostal itself has excellent security. The kitchen has most of what´s needed to cook anything, though it would be nice to have a coffee maker and microwave. There´s a cupboard for each room to store groceries, and fridge space as well. Large shared living room with Spanish cable; dining room just off the kitchen.Just a block away is a full service internet cafe with great prices, plus mini markets and fruit and vegetable shops. Near the Universidad Central, so lots of inexpensive restaurants nearby as well. The owner and her housekeeper are friendly and helpful. The owner speaks Italian, Spanish and English. I would definitely stay here again, though next time I might book the suite, which has a living room-bedroom next door to a kitchen-dining room, overlooking a garden.

Liked: This place ins not the place to stay if you want to party. If you want to relax in Quito in a lovely house with a friendly owner then it is. It is really clean and the bedrooms are comfy and ver clean. Even though it is not in the centre, it is a very cheap taxi or bus ride away. Good value for money.

Liked: This hostel is amazing value for money. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable and there is always hot water. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home and to help you out in any way that she can.
