Liked: friendly staff, clean rooms w character. very centrally located. Nice breakfast of toast, queso fresco, jam, coffee, fresh juice and omelet.

Disliked: We happened to arrive on a rainy weekend so the rooms were a bit chilly. None of the rooms have a heater. The hotel provided extra blankets.

Liked: This wonderful family run hostel is perfectly positioned right on the edge of teh main part of Quito's old town. The staff were extremely friendly and always helpful; even coming out to cheer me on in a 10k race that passed their door. The rooms all exist off internal balconies that look down onto a pretty courtyard and have great views out across Quito. The breakfast was excellent and there is free internet access.

Liked: Location's good

Disliked: I didn't like that the girl in charge kept on trying to overcharge me every chance she had. First, she tried to charge me as if I hadn't paid any deposit, then she told me the taxes weren't included in the price, when I was checking out, some staff member told me I hadn't paid because she made a mistake, and the last one, 10 hrs after I checked in and paid, she came to me and told me "I'm sorry, but the USD 20 bill you gave me this morning is fake". I have paid with a USD50 bill.

Liked: Extremely friendly and helpful manageress, best location in the old town, historical building totally renovated, great!

Liked: Its a nice place and to stay

Disliked: For the price i think it is a good place to stay. Would have liked it more if the wi-fi was working. Other then that the staff are friendly and helpful.

Liked: Nicest place I stayed at while in Ecuador. Beautiful room with a balcony over looking a pedestrian street, soft bed, clean bathroom with hot water, pretty decorations, located in an excellent part of Old Town, and the best part was the friendly and helpful staff. Would gladly return and highly recommend to others!

Liked: Ideal location for the Historic centre of Quito. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Hot water only available for a couple of hours in the morning.

Liked: The staff was very nice. Only one or two could speak English.

Disliked: Poor lighting .Soap on shower floor. Hot water takes long time to heat up.I had to ask for towels the last two days.TV Spanish only.Cracks on window above front door .Room was vey cold .Door lock was not very good.Cracks on cieling . Possible moldBathroom very poor lighting.

Liked: The hotel proprieter was very helpful and friendly - went out of his way and was a good host. My room was clean, well decorated and pleasant. The hostal was quiet enough to sleep and in a good location. The building had a lot of character!

Disliked: I wish the breakfast had been a little earlier because it wasn't open before I had to catch my flight out so no idea about the breakfast but they did have a lot of good tea!

Liked: Perfect location right in the Old Town, within short walking distance of everything. Lots of hot water!

Liked: I stayed at this property before and both times really liked it. I live here and this time I was going to get a friend who is moving here. She had a ton of stuff and even though we left for 2 days to go to Banos, everything was safe and exactly as we left it in the room. It was extremely cold in Quito also when we were there and they gladly brought us more blankets. Great hot water and bathrooms and everything is clean.

Liked: Very secure and good location to see all of the Old Town. Most of the staff were lovely. Very clean.

Disliked: We checked into the hotel at 6am on 22nd September. When we checked out they charged us one extra night, saying that that counted as 21st September. This meant that we had to pay an extra 30$US which we had not budgeted for - I know this does not sound like lot but this was at the very end of our travels and money was tight. I am not unreasonable and if they had told us there would be an early check in charge that would have been fine. When I tried to argue this case I was just blatantly ignored. This put a real downer on our stay here and I would advise anybody to check exactly how much they are paying when they check in. Also, they DO NOT take off the deposit paid on HostelBookers so you end up paying extra again.

Liked: The owners of this place are absolutely incredible. My travel buddy and I both got a bit of a 24 hour bug, and they were almost like family in making sure we had what we needed to get better and then get on out way. SUPER awesome people. AND, the place is absolutely beautiful. Great view of the city, right in the old city, and the showers are HOT with AWESOME pressue.

Disliked: Not a party hostel.
