Liked: One of the best hostels I've stayed in in south america. Great location between the old and new town, friendly staff, clean, really comfy beds, and free tea and coffee!

Liked: It had one of the most friendly atmospheres that I had encountered in a hostel in a while - the staff were very welcoming, and the layout makes it very easy to chat with other guests. The beds were a little too comfortable, though - I had to work hard to think of a reason to get out in the morning!

Disliked: Rhys left no negative feedback.

Liked: Everything you want in a hostel is there. On arrival you'll get a map of the surroundings plus an explanation where to go or not to go.

Disliked: Nothing; I can really recommend this hostel!

Liked: Good atmosphere, clean, comfortable, nice dorms and bathrooms, easy to get to old town sites and a quick bus ride to Mariscal. This is a great hostel if you don't want to stay in the heart of Gringolandia.

Disliked: The owner is not super warm but I also can't say anything more negative than that as he was very helpful and gave me good advice about all things Quito.

Liked: Good hostel if you are looking for a slightly quieter experience in Quito. Lots of showers, good public areas and good size rooms. Located within walking distance (20mins) or short taxi to the main sites in the city - local shops and restaurants within a few mins. Local map offered on arrival useful. Friendly and helpful owner.

Disliked: There is no breakfast offered (however, not a problem if you go to a local bakery).

Liked: This is an awesome, homely, well-run hostel and the staff are incredibly helpful. Matt and Jonny went out or their way to give us directions / recommendations / advice / and make phonecalls to the airport to try to reclaim our lost luggage. Because the hostel is small, it is very sociable, with a great bar and common room area with stacks of DVDs.

Disliked: Nothing - it was great.

Liked: the kitchen has everything, the decoration, free bananas, good internet, very big room with 4 beds for 2 people.

Disliked: The owners could have been friendlier.

Liked: the staff are ace and the curry nights are not to missed! rooms are big and airy, beds are big and comfy, and the location is ideal to get out and about to everything, and there is loads of info and the guys will give you advice on everything to taxi prices to where to go to grab your wine! well equiped kitchen, nice big roof terrace and really sweet dog as well. Thank you matt and jonny for a great stay!

Disliked: only down side is that the showers change temperature every few minutes, but there are worse things in the world.

Liked: This is a fantastic place- probably one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in (they even make your bed everyday!), with a nice kitchen, tv room and rooftop terrace. The dorm rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The location near the Centro Historico is very convenient.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Couldn't fault this place. The owner is a very nice Aussie guy. When I arrived he gave me a comprehensive tour of the place and even took me to the rooftop terrace to point out where everything was in the city. The dorms were spacious and tidy and the beds were large and comfortable.

Liked: A Lovely Hostel in the old part of Quito, with very pleasant and helpful staff, both English and Spanish speaking they know a lot about Quito and the surrounding areas and were able to tell me what to do and what not to do. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms very clean. The bar is great and the atmosphere is very homely. The Kitchen facilities were very good and the TV and DVD room was comfortable with a huge selection of DVDs to pick from. I would recommend this hostel to all my freinds.

Liked: been to quito 3 or 4 times already and i always stay here because the owner is a cool guy and i like the location. it's in the old town, so its a nice place to walk around. it's not one of those big mega-hostels where you get lost. it's like a home away form home.

Liked: Hostel Revolution is that rare breed of places: relaxed ambiance, friendly management, ideal location. Too many hostels are in business solely to make money or to pander to the party crowd. This place is as real, relaxed, and fun as they get.

Liked: absolutely great place to stay! Although it is not a party hostel, it is a still a place where you can easily meet other travelers. One of the best I have ever stayed.
