Liked: The room that I stayed in was great. For only 10 dollars I got a private room with bath and shower. The room was spacious. When I arrived to the hostel it was pretty empty and the staff let me pick the room. Also Milton was very helpful and friendly. He gave me an overview of the city and pointed me in the right direction when I had questions.

Disliked: There wasn't a public computer to use at the hostel. And if you didn't bring your own to connect with WiFi, you are SOL.

Liked: Really nice hostel and very freindly hosts, big building with lots of deck space, good kitchen, big rooms with ensuites hot showers and tv and dvd player,close to everything, roberto is great and knows everything about the area and everyone in the area fantastic place to stay

Disliked: Nathaniel left no negative feedback.

Liked: Staff: Roberto was superb and made sure I had all the info I needed - both for Otavalo and for moving on to Colombia afterwards. Superb. Has a nice kitchen too.

Disliked: It's otherwise fairly basic.

Liked: The owner is incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. the rooms are big, with comfy beds and clean bathrooms, although some did smell a bit from the drains. There was a decent kitchen and the location was also good.

Disliked: Smelly drains! Although this was only my room, others were fine.

Liked: Roberto the owner is very helpful. He drove us to the bus station and made sure we got on the right bus. Hostel is huge, with kitchen and terrace, hot water & good wifi. About a 5-10 min walk thru town to reach the saturday market.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Good kitchen facilities, short walk to markets, owner provided map and information on where to go to see different attractions.

Disliked: Minor worry on arrival as looked dark inside and took a little while for door to be answered but nothing major - just need to be a bit patient!

Liked: Clean, safe, hot water shower, good bed, great kitchen. Roberto is a friendly host and provides all information you need about the Otavalo area. Recommended!

Liked: Roberto was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He gave a great orientation to Otavalo along with a very helpful map. We stayed on the top floor and had a great view. The kitchen was bright, well supplied and spotless. The building has a lot of character and there is a great view over the town from the rooms and the roof terraces.

Disliked: Poor lighting in the bedrooms. Rooms facing the street get street noise.

Liked: When we first arrived at the hostal the owner was great as he gave us a map of the town and took time to explain all the things that we can do in Otovalo and about the market. We have never had such good information before! The hotel was in a great location as it is very easy to walk into town and to the famous market!

Disliked: The only problem we had was that the water turned itself off and the hot water was intermitent when others were using the shower, other than this is was brilliant.

Liked: Roberto is fantastic. He takes time with you when you first get there to make sure you know where to go and how to get around town. He really cares about the people who come to his hostel

Liked: Roberto the owner is super friendly and helpful. Free washing machine, kitchen, Wifi (maybe only in common areas)

Disliked: Shower was a bit patchy when my girlfriend used it, I don't remember having too much trouble though.

Liked: Roberto, the owner, is a great guy and will set you up with what to see and do in Otavalo. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Disliked: There can be more group activities and meetups amongst guests but I believe Roberto is working on that.

Liked: Roberto was great! El es muy tranquilo. It was great to lay on the hammock on the roof and take in the bustling small town of Otavalo.

Disliked: We did have to wait ten minutes outside before someone finally came out and told Roberto we were here.

Liked: The room was fantastic - clean, comfortable bed, tv and dvd player, and a lovely little balcony. Close to everything, especially the markets. Great social area and fully equiped kitchen. Most of all - Roberto! Roberto could not have been more helpful, he even drove us to the bus terminal and stayed to make sure we got the correct bus.. 10 out of 10

Disliked: Nothing! Would highly reccomend to anyone looking for accomodation in Otavalo

Liked: Nice rooms, comfy bed, balcony with views, DVD player and dvd´s. Great info and a nice place to stay. Above all though, Roberto was absolutely brilliant. From the minute you arrive he really makes you welcome. A real genuine bloke, very friendly, very personable. Highly recommend staying here.

Liked: The owner, Roberto, is very pleasant and eager to help. Located on hillside, four or five blocks from the centre of town, on the Saturday local people led animals past the hostel to the animal market. Excellent views from the roof-top patio.

Disliked: Bathroom developed a smell of blocked drain and hot water was lacking for much of the time. Breakfast is not provided and the room lacked a tv, but not an issue at this price. The owner appeared to be trying to do everything by himself and was struggling given the size of the hostal. The stay was somewhat disappointing given how positive other reviews have been. Lets hope Roberto can turn it round as he is a genuine, friendly man.

Liked: Incredible view, wonderfully helpful staff, very comfortable room/bed. Kitchen and free laundry services were huge plus, too.

Disliked: The setup of the hostel is such that it is hard for those staying there to have much interaction with each other, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is something I look for in hostels.

Liked: Giant private room with bathroom, ridiculously friendly and helpful staff, free ride to the bus station, great views of the city, pretty much everything

Disliked: the wifi was slow and wasn't working most of the time
