Overview

Fair prices, central, rooms with private bathrooms, 24 hour hot water, garage, TV, DVD, kitchen for use, sheets and towels included, a terrace with a great view over Otavalo, hammocks, wi-fi available if you have a laptop

Hostal Chasqui is situated at the first entrance of Otavalo, arriving from Quito. From the bus stop on the Panamericana walk down the road (Calle Atahualpa) for 4 blocks to Calle Piedrahita, then turn on the right and walk up the road for another 2 blocks. From the bus terminal take a taxi to the hostel.

You can also easily get to the plaza de ponchos in 5 minutes, where there is the famous market and you will be in the centre of the town.

Otavalo is a good place to relax and feel the culture. Every Saturday there’s is a big market for to buy handicrafts. As well in and around Otavalo offers plenty of things to do like hiking, biking, hot springs and discovering volcanoes, lagoons and waterfalls.
