Liked: Good breakfast, very friendly and informative owner who speaks a little English, clean, comfortable, homely. Wifi, kitchen and laundry services available. Amazing location for bird and general wildlife watching, the garden was brimming with hummingbirds, they were within an arm's length of me, and I was there in low season! I also saw toucans, other birds and an armadillo... Highly recommended to anyone with even a slight interest in nature or wildlife photography.

Disliked: I slept in the loft, which is open sided, so it was noisy and there were insects if I turned the light on at night, and I was woken early by the sun. Having said that, all of the aforementioned noise was natural, it was a bit like camping really, with lots of luxuries! But it might not be good if you're a light sleeper. There were no lockers, but I was assured that Mindo is a safe place and none of my belongings went astray. The more safety-conscious might want to think again.

Liked: Nice quite location, close to everything. Hammocks and incredible humming birds in the back garden.

Liked: Lovely hostel, great location, beautiful hummingbirds, 24 hour hot water, fabulous breakfast too (they will do you an early one too if you are getting the 6.30am bus back to Quito). Stayed an extra night than we intended!

Disliked: Absolutely nothing! Quite quiet at night, but then so is the whole of Mindo!

Liked: All the Birds just out side på balkony!

Disliked: The staff wasn´t there in the evening and at night, would not like to be there alone, all to empty!

Liked: Just an excellent authentic stay in Ecuador. The host is a very helpful guy, and extremely accommodating.

Liked: The garden and especially the hummingbird feeders were lovely. So was the woman who made us breakfast each morning, and got up extra early on the day we left at 5.30am to go birding. The hammocks were also great.

Disliked: Nothing really.

Liked: A wonderful helpful and friendly couple run this hostal.Excelent place to watch humming birds. They help you with place to go without trying to sell guided tours. Loely wooden building with polished floors.
