Liked: Big rooms, really clean and with ensuite. Nicely decorated with the owner's photos. A quiet place and good base to get out and go walking. Good breakfast. Nice staff.

Disliked: A little bit quiet and dark at night except on the weekends when it picks up. When the staff played some music it made a nice atmosphere.

Liked: Good location close to the main street, but far enough away to be very quiet. The rooms are large and extremely clean with ensuite bathrooms. They even had 24hr hot water. The staff are really friendly, and the owner speaks English fluently and is an experienced bird guide. The free breakfast was pretty good, fruit, bread, eggs and coffee.

Disliked: Nothing really. This place isn´t a party hostel, but a quiet base to take a birding tour or hike in the surrounding hills.

Liked: This is a good, clean hostel owned by bird guide Vinicio Perez, but you don't have to be a birdwatcher to stay here. Because there are many of that species that do stay here though (and I am one of them) there can be some comings and goings at odd hours, but this definitely isn't a party hostel. The rooms are large and clean and the breakfast is a good one. Hot water all day round is a plus.
