The Birdwatcher’s House in Mindo, Ecuador is a place to relax and enjoy the surrounding aromas of flowers as well as the sounds of the birds, especially the hummingbirds that visit the garden of the hostel all the time.

The Birdwatcher’s House was designed as a place to relax and enjoy the surrounding aromas of flowers as well as the sounds of singing, central location with easy access to Mindo bus stop and all birding sites, upslope and down slope.

Comfortable, secure, new, clean single and double rooms with private bathrooms, jacuzzi and hot showers, we have space for 22 guests. An excellent hearty home-cooked meal and vegetarian or other diets available upon request. Meals served according to birders' schedules; box meals and snacks available. You can also get free coffee, tea and drinking water, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks available for purchase.

Accommodation Information

There is space for a total of 25 persons. There are 2 rooms with double bed and private bathroom, 2 rooms with 2 individual beds and private bathroom, 4 rooms (triple ensuite) with double bed and one single bed with private bathroom, 1 room with 3 individual beds and shared bathroom and a double room with 2 individual beds and a shared bathroom. All rooms have hot water and are comfortable beds in a quiet neighborhood.

Location Information

The Birdwatcher’s House’s central location makes it easy to visit the Mindo Waterfalls, the Canopy rides, the butterfly gardens and, of course, many bird watching sites. The centre is only a 600 meters away where you can find internet cafes, bars, restaurants, the bus ticket office and tourist offices.
