The Maison Gautreaux has a very friendly, accomodating staff willing to help you find your way around Santo Domingo. Also, the location is excellent for the price. Many of the staff members do speak English and the free internet access is great.

Friendliness of staff although it would've been much much better if all of them could speak and understand english.. was a bit hard to communicate. The only member of staff we met who speaks english fluently was Pablo.

the price for the location was a great vailue. there is a nice balcony with a jacuzzi. most of the staff is very friendly. there was no curfew and a 24 hour security guard.
