Liked: Nice and friendly staff, who will help you with all your questions.

Disliked: the jacuzzi on the roof top doesn´t heat the water.

Liked: I definitely recommend to everybody this hostel. I liked the location, the price, the cleanliness and the friendshipe of the people in the lobby, very kind and helpful. The hostel is simple, but reliable and, for people who have no problems with big demands and expectations, is a really "must to go" place.

Disliked: The breakfast is quite simple, but for the price it's ok.

Liked: I didn't like this hostel because they didn't collect the correct value of diary. So, although the hostel is good, it loses the charm for acting in bad faith with tourists.

Liked: The Maison Gautreaux has a very friendly, accomodating staff willing to help you find your way around Santo Domingo. Also, the location is excellent for the price. Many of the staff members do speak English and the free internet access is great.

Liked: Friendliness of staff although it would've been much much better if all of them could speak and understand english.. was a bit hard to communicate. The only member of staff we met who speaks english fluently was Pablo.

Liked: the price for the location was a great vailue. there is a nice balcony with a jacuzzi. most of the staff is very friendly. there was no curfew and a 24 hour security guard.
