Liked: I had a private room with cable TV, toilet and bath, and kitchen all for only US$15.00 per night. You cannot get a deal better than that. The hostel is located in a quiet neighborhood (no city noise). It is just about 15 minutes from downtown by bus, which costs only about 65 US cents. The owner speaks English well and is very helpful, and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. I will go back there anytime I am in the Dominican Republic.
Disliked: There was nothing for me to dislike.

Liked: I did not get the best room. But there are better ones, I saw! So check before taking the room. Avoid the room just behind the garage. The staff of Freeman Aparta Hotel is most friendly. If there was a problem of any kind at once they endeavor to solve it and succeeded in it. Very friendly and helpful staff! According to the prices applied in Santo Domingo: a good deal if you get the right room.
Disliked: in the room I had: mold. Often no water but you only needed to say it and the staff gave it to you at once. I advised the manager to do something with the mold (because this room could also be nice) and he said that he would do something.

Disliked: no water 80% of the time no hot water 100% of the time internet access didn't work 100% of the time it was several miles further from town than shown on the google map there was no where to eat anywhere near very noisy neighbors till late at night

Liked: Great location, friendly staff. The room the first night was decent enough, with a/c, tv, and plenty of space. We went back a second time though, had to pay five dollars more and had a much worse room. The bathroom faced an alley with urine smells, tv did not work well and kept losing reception, and the shower had only a trickle of water. So, it is a bit of a toss up, depending on which room you get. However, it felt like a safe place to spend the night.
Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.
