Disliked: They didn't have the room I reserved, so I was moved to another room and had to pay extra.

Liked: The location.

Disliked: The staff was relatively unhelpful and it was very hard to get Wifi. There is no computer in the main lounge unless you pay for it. Also alcohol is not allowed in the rooms apart from the bar.

Liked: Everything we needed was there. Clean and tidy rooms.

Disliked: There was a very friendly female staff member who was really kind and helpfull. The male staffmember was very crumpy and not helpfull at all. It looked like everything was a too much work for him and his welcoming wasn't friendly. He didn't explain anything about the hostel or Copenhagen. I think it would be better when luggage storage, the day you leave, is for free.

Liked: The location, the almosphere was ok too.

Disliked: Way too dirty, the rooms were very dusty and the kitchen was always smelly. I also disliked the fact that you had to pay extra for the linen.

Liked: It had a wonderful location, and was clean. Everything is keycard operated, so it feels pretty safe... Definitely a great value. My room for 8 only had 5 of us in it, and there was plenty of space in the room so that it didn't feel cramped. I made friends with one of my roommates, and would definitely stay there again!

Disliked: They charge for linens and locks, but thats an easy fix if you just bring your own :) If you want to go out at night to bars and you're alone, its a little far (if you're with people, its less of a big deal)

Liked: Hostel is only 10 to 15 min by foot from the central station and close to the centre.

Disliked: No additional toilets or bathrooms on our level. One bathroom for ten people is not enough!

Liked: Staff helpful and friendly, when we arrived our booking had apparently been cancelled by mistake. They fixed that quickly for us and we got a nice room. Great facilities and clean common areas. We stayed in a private room - both room and furniture was fairly new and modern and it had a nice view of the canal. No noise - you were not disturbed in your room even late at friday or saturday night. Of course if you open your windows there will be sounds from the fairly heavily trafficked road below.

Disliked: The free WiFi worked off and on. I had some troubles getting connected, but once connected it did work well. Our room had dusty floors although it was clean otherwise. The room was a bit too warm the first night, someone had left the heating on at a high setting prior to our arrival.

Liked: It is an easy walk away from the main shopping area and central station. Christianhavn's metro for the Airport is only a 10 minute or so walk away too. The 10 bed dorm room I stayed in was pretty cheap for Denmark and it was split in to a 6 bed and a 4 bed too. Staff were friendly enough, wouldn't expect anything less. The bar is ok to meet people but it's not too comfortable, intimate which seemed a little off putting as a lone traveller. Views from my 9th floor room were nice yes, but I'd prefer better kitchen facilities than a view. Beds were clean and comfy, the room had a lot of space and a mirror which was a plus! No curfew is brilliant, but should be a given in city hostels anyway. The amount of lifts were very helpful with the amount of visitors!

Disliked: I don't know how the hostel can be described as a 5 star as the kitchen was disguting! I have never seen a kettle so caked in limescale that I am actually drinking it. Microwave was never cleaned. Cutlery was inadequate (never saw a fork). Although I didn't really have a problem getting space to cook, for a hostel that rooms over 1000 people, the kitchen is so small and under equipped. The TV room is cold and uninviting, it's not even a room more like a walk through. The wifi only worked in one corner of the breakfast room or every now and again in the kitchen but never in my 9th floor room. Room seemed to only get cleaned every 2 days and for a 10 bed dorm with a shared bathroom, that's pretty disgusting - my feet would be dirtier coming out of the bathroom than going in (note to self, take flip flops if I ever stay there again). But the cleaner I met was friendly and efficient. Shower smelt of rotten eggs when turned on... Even with the heating turned off the room was incredibly warm and I always woke up with a sore throat - maybe not a very good ventilation system as the room just got too cold when the window was opened. Extortionate price for linen but this is a given in HI hostels anyway - I wonder if guests who stay for longer than 4 nights can get a clean towel or whether there's an extra fee for that too? Luggage 20kr when you've checked out but free before you check in?!?!

Liked: VERY good location, we walked pretty much everywhere we were going except when the weather was poor :)

Disliked: We would've preferred if it was Wifi in our rooms as well :\ But, it was free, and that was good :-)

Liked: Decent beds, clean toilet and bathroom ensuite to the dorm room. Most things worked perfectly. Free wifi.

Disliked: They seem to catch a lot of people unawares with the YHA card requirement. They seem to make a lot of money from the "penalty" fee per day if you don't have one. The floor in the room was rather dusty and the sink was blocked. Linen not included. The wifi seems to play up a lot - some people have a lot of trouble getting connected.
