About Danhostel Copenhagen City

The five-star Danhostel is located on H.C. Andersens Boulevard, a 10 minute walk from the central train station and bus terminal, and with 1,020 beds is Europe’s biggest hostel.
Apart from the building's exceptionally fine view over the city's skyline, the opera house and Islands Brygge, it is centrally located within walking distance of all major attractions, city hall square, Tivoli, and the always bustling city centre.
We offer free Wi-Fi in all our rooms/lobby as well as an internet café (for the use of this we charge a small fee) and TV room. Grab a free book or leave one for others in our book exchange.
If you're looking for more liquid entertainment, make yourself comfortable in one of Copenhagen’s cheapest bars, located right in the lobby!

Accommodation Information

“Danhostel Copenhagen city” is a 18 storey building with an exceptional view of the city's skyline, harbour, and on a clear day, even Sweden! The hostel has 1020 beds in 192 rooms all with bathrooms and toilets. We also offer a guest kitchen and laundry facilities.

Please note:
* If you don’t bring your own linen, it's mandatory to rent it here for 60dkk. Sleeping bags are not allowed.
* Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to sleep in dormitory rooms.
* Check in is from 2pm. If arriving later than 5pm, please call or email to confirm reservation.
* 24hr public parking available for a charge.
* To store luggage after check-out a surcharge of 20dkk is paid, on the day of arrival before check-in, luggage storage is of course for free.
* Please be aware of banking fee when using credit/debit cards as payment in Denmark!

Location Information

Only a 5 minute walk from the central train station, 500m from the airport bus stop. Sitting beside the harbour area Islands Brygge, which boasts a new harbour pool area, restaurants and galleries. Not far away from the hostel is the former red light district Vesterbro, now one of the hippest places in Copenhagen with lounge bars, nightclubs, retro-kitsch clothes shops and cool design.
The main shopping street, Strøget, also known as Europe’s longest mall, is less than a 5 minute walk away and leads to all the major tourist sites.
