Liked: The staff was unbelievable! We would have been lost in Prague for days with nothing to do without them. The hostel had a great fun atmosphere with free wifi and places to hang out. The beds were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was really good too (and it was free!) I can't get over the amazing help. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone traveling through Prague (especially young people)

Disliked: It was a little far from Old Town Square but not more than a 10 minute bus ride. It wasn't even bad, but it was the only negative aspect.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at Hostel Marabou. By complete chance, we ended up coming on their 5 year anniversary of being open and they had a big party on the Saturday evening. It was great, tonnes of free food, unlimited free beer and wine, lots of people. So, that was a very nice surprise. Also, the price is very good, everything is reasonably clean and the staff are great. The breakfast is cereal, coffee, bread (with jam, honey, etc.) and yogurt, but again...for the price this was great.

Disliked: A little bit far from the city center but 100% walkable. If you are walking around the whole city anyways, what does it matter that it takes 20 minutes to get down there.

Liked: The common areas are really awesome, you can tell they've put a real effort in to make them feel comfortable, unlike a lot of hostels which can be kind of sterile. I really liked the decor. The staff were really friendly and helped us find our way around a bit, also checked us in really early after an overnight train, which was fantastic. We had a private room, which was a pretty good size and fit all our stuff easily. At the time we were there, (Jan) the doubles were really good value. The bar there is cheap too.

Disliked: Being there in off season, there was pretty much no one there, so not a great vibe, although you could tell it would be a fun place ifg there were more people there. It actually worked out great for us cause we'd been partying a little too hard, and needed a night off! The bathrooms weren't the cleanest, and I hate having to press the button in the showe3r every few seconds for water, but they were hot, so I got over it. Overall, I really liked in here.

Liked: It's slightly out of the City Centre, yet quite easy to get to if you follow the directions provided. The Hostel has a really welcoming vibe and I felt right at home.

Liked: The kitchen, breakfast, and free breakfast were nice. The beds were comfortable and warm, with your own cubby space, which is nice for keeping things. They were also nice about letting us pay the next day after we had the chance to withdraw cash.

Disliked: The whole place is very sombre; it feels kind of like an opium den. Plus there were some strange characters floating around.

Liked: The kitchen have a very Cody and homely feel to it. And you get a free welcome beer and breakfast is included in the price which is great! Great lounge area to chill and use your laptops.

Disliked: I book for a private twin room and got a 4-bed room instead which is in a very very very very tiny room which has no windows! It felt stuffy. The rooms and toilet needs a good and thorough cleaning .

Liked: Nice atmosphere, good kitchen-common areas to meet people, and helpfull staff.Beds are confortables and bathromms are ok.Also breakfast is good and nice to have free internet and WI-FI, and a cheap bar.

Disliked: A bit annoying to have to press the shower bottom every 10 secs, even if the watter is nice and warm. Also a bit far from the center, but bus 133 drops you strike in the center, from the hostel's door, so not a big problem.

Liked: SO clean, awesome showers and great free breakfast. About a 25 minute walk into town but worth it! The neighborhood is surrounded by parks and a cool main street. The beds are super comfortable and come with a massive locker!

Disliked: The basement hang out area smells alot. People are allowed to smoke there and it sucks because that is where the free internet is. I smell of smoke now.

Liked: The dorm beds are really comfortable, it's a great place to know many people. The breakfast is quite nice and I really appreciate the free welcome drink of Czech beer too! Very value for money!

Disliked: Some toilets are without locks, I saw a guy going into the ladies.

Liked: GREAT hostel. Cheap, spotless, lots of amenities (free welcome beer, lounges, full kitchen, free internet and computers, etc.). Became friends with the other people staying there and all went out for drinks a few times- it was a great environment to meet people and made our stay even better.

Disliked: One of the receptionists was quite rude (though the other was very nice)

Liked: It's really clean and a great atmosphere. Better than some hotels I've stayed in. The showers were clean and spacious, and there is a nice lounge area. Also each person has a lot of storage space for luggage. Overall, very safe and enjoyable place to stay. Would gladly stay here again, and you even get a free Czech beer when you get there.

Disliked: The location is right in the middle of two bus stops which means you have to walk 15 minutes to get to either one of them which is a pain. It's relatively close to the old town but the location isn't ideal because it's not by a tram or bus stop.

Liked: Great common room with sofas, big kitchen, in-house bar, and a downstairs room with table soccer, billiard table, and computers with internet access (also there's wireless all over the place). The atmosphere is great and the place has style. The breakfast is ok for the price. Not directly connected to the metro but once you have figured out how to get downtown it's easy. Big supermarkets close by. Clean toilets.

Disliked: A part of the rooms and the bathrooms don't have enough windows, so the ventilation is not the best and there is mold on the shower ceiling. You'll spend most of your time outside your room. The Budget Private Twin is in fact a 4-bed room with bunk beds (but of course you'll be alone in there).

Liked: It was a great place to meet people, the lounge area was social and their was a decent breakfast in the morning. The staff was also super helpful and friendly. The hostel isn't located in the super-touristy area, but has lots of great pubs and restaurants in the area and the trams and buses make it easy to get into Prague 1. If you have a car, their is free parking close by so it saves you lots of money.

Disliked: We had the "budget twin" room which had no window and smelt funky - but hey, it was cheap.
