Liked: A safe and secure hostel, with a very friendly and helpful owner. Situated in a quiet street very near to the castle and 20 mins walk to the old town square. Highly recommended.

Liked: This was a different hostel than we had booked for in a street close by ('cause of a big group in Golden Tree), but we had a quite large studio with a view at the big munk-gardens which was great, and we shared a balkony with another room, so there was an outside possibility.

Disliked: We didn't get the place we booked for. The breakfast was to be brought to the studio-fridge every day in the afternoon. For 2 days we got the (quite poor) breakfast, but the last day we got nothing...

Liked: We had a wonderful welcome from Renata, the manager. There was a problem with our room for the first night (probably double-booking), so she relocated us in a little house next door and she was very anxious about our reaction. Honestly, who would complain about being upgraded from a twin bedroom to a full house with 3 beds?Renata is not often here but for any problem you have, you should ask Olga, the girl who deals with everything in the house from cleaning to breakfast. She doesn't speak English unfortunately but she is always eager to help you and call Renata if need be. We also had to go to emergency for a case of bad local reaction... Olga and Renata sorted out the situation very efficiently and we were in the taxi to the hospital for foreigners only 10 minutes after. It's reassuring to be in such good hands!The room we stayed in from the second night was on the ground floor, near the entrance. It's massive and there are toilets just next to it. The bathroom is at the end of a little corridor and is spotless, huge and very well appointed. Linen and towels are provided and changed almost every day.The breakfast is just perfect and is the only opportunity to meet the other residents. It's a buffet with a choice of cake, bread, butter, jam, cheese, ham, sometimes eggs, and of course coffee, tea and orange juice.The guesthouse is open from 8.30 am when breakfast is served and check-in is from 2pm, but I know that Renata will always try to accommodate your needs, so if you arrive at odd hours, you should call her beforehand to find an arrangement.

Disliked: There's nothing wrong with the property as such, but some of the other guests didn't even say hello when entering the kitchen for breakfast. It kind of ruined the atmosphere a little... Thankfully others were very friendly!

Liked: Well located.

Disliked: We only met the owner randomly when we arrived because she happened to be dropping off some laundry. Otherwise, we would have arrived and found no one around to check us in. She was not around the entire next day, only a non-English speaking cook/cleaner. When we tried to telephone her to say we were leaving early and wanted to arrange breakfast and pay, she didn't answer the telephone number listed on the Hostel Bookers website, though she did call us back an hour later. All told, it took us about two hours to locate someone we could pay in cash and get a receipt from, and then we couldn't have breakfast the next day, because, we were told, 'it's too late.' The property is well-located and convenient, but the management seems very disorganized.

Disliked: There is no car parking, but if you can walk about 300 m you can leave it on a street without a charge

Liked: i stayed in the double room which is newly renovated. the location itself is good, next to prague castle (around 5 min)

Disliked: not closed to Metro, though tram system is even more convenience/ accessible to other place in the town

Liked: Beautiful apartment in a gorgeous quiet area of Prague. Very clean and spacious and good value for the price.

Disliked: They seemed to be a bit disorganised, and on our last day we turned up for breakfast at 9.30 and they had run out of everything.

Liked: The room was at first to plain (only a double bed, a bookshelv and a table with two chair. I miss some nice decorations od the room. But the kitchen and the bathroom was wonderful, just original new and beautiful and perfect clear.And we have a own independent apartman, because our room with own kitchen and bathroom was in a other house. We had a nice and very romantic little garden. So the bedroom wasn't freindle, and the bed was terrible uncomtable but the other things were very nice. The atmosphere was very romantic because the bilding was I think about 300 years old. We had breakfast in the main house it was plain but good. (2 kind of bred, 3 kind of chees, 2 kind of ham, egg, butter, home made jam, milk, coffe.De location was wonderful, this streer belong to the famous sights of the castle. It was beautiful and romantic to walk in the night to home.If the environment is important to you, and you love historical atmosphere, I recomend this accomodation to you. But there were more rooms, so it worth it to chek wich rooms will you exactly get.
