Liked: Friendly helpful staff, wouldnt stay if had children or early starts in the morning as other guests quite rowdy in the early hours (6-7am).Good central location with good access to trams and metro lines! Facilities good and comfy bed!

Liked: The shuttle from the airport takes about 30-40 minutes, about 12 euro for up to 4 people. The tram/bus/metro system is cheap - definitely get the 100Kn pass for 24 hours and explore a good deal of the city if your flight gets in during the day. The hostel appears to have taken over half of an renovated apartment building - hardwood floors, full bathroom in most rooms (even reception!)... sweet location: three blocks from the tram stop (5,9,26) - gets you to the bridge/downtown area in about 10 minutes. [Note: reception/Internet computers/TV room only open til a little past midnight.]

Liked: craig was an absolute legend and made our stay memorable and exciting, the pub crawl got us meeting lots of nice people from all over the globe and the reception was inviting friendly and helped us with whatever we wanted help with... we really felt comfortable and at home at hostel one

Liked: our private double ensuite actually turned out to be a mini appartment. they called it the "penthouse" on us checking in! our room was only one of a couple that had roof access. massive, had three beds, and very clean. nice staff. very helpful.

Liked: The property was really nicely decorated with a cute, homey style. They had a nice outdoor garden, kitchen, bar and tv room. i like the tv room because most hostels dont have them.

Liked: Location was great (15 min stroll into the old town). Staff were brilliant (welcoming, knowledgable, happy to keep you up to date with social events). Garden out the back was lovely for an afternoon wine. Dorms and bathrooms were very clean and well kept.

Liked: The most fun we've ever had! met loads of fun people, rooms are great, staff really friendly and helpful, location good, only 2 tram stops away from the old town! totally recommend this hostel!!!!
