It is a sensational place to stay. A short trip to the city via tram but really clean and a great place to meet people in a friendly clean environment.

I really loved the friendly staff and the beautiful location. It was a perfect place to stay. I also liked that breakfast was included and that you could order dinner there. The athmosphere was fantastic and it was easy to get to know new friends and go out and party. I would definitly recommend others to stay at the boathouse in prague.

This was one of my favorite hostels. The women who run the hostel are so great. It is a little far away from the city, but it did not stop anyone from partying. Some guys from other hostels even pregamed there.

This hostel was the GREATEST! It made our trip to Prague the best city on our trip. It may be a little our of the way, but it is well worth it!

The people were amazing. They were so helpful, kind and accomodating!! We loved our stay there, it was like being with family. Everything was so nice, our room, showers and breakfast were wonderful. Staying here was the best part of Prague. You can even buy your Tram tickets at the Hostel. We loved it!!

I was 40 on the 2nd June 2006 and decided that rather than spend my birthday in Ireland where I live I would visit Prague for a few days. Little did I realise when I was booking my flights and accomodation that I was going to have such a good time. The fellow backpackers that I met at the boathouse hostel ensured that my birtday celebrations were in indeed very memorable. Thank you guys and girls for that!!!!! The location of the hostel is good, about 15 minutes by tram from the Charles bridge. To some this may seem to be a drawback, but in my opion it isn't for the fact that among other things (weather permitting) it is possible to have a few beers on the grass at the front of the hostel with your fellow travellers, or go for a walk along the river bank. The staff were very friendly and helpful even though they work very long hours so please folks show these ladies the respect they deserve. When(not if) I return to Prague I will definitely be staying at the Boathouse hostel.

WOW, AWESSOME!!! Best Hostel in Prague!!!
27 May 2006
The hostel catered for every need, towels, laundry, tram tickets, toiletries, the staff were also very helpful. As a young loan traveller I found it difficult to meet other people to go out with. More suited for the mature backpacker, a group of travellers or a couple looking for a romantic weekend.

Friendly staff with loads of readily available information, nice riverside location and good, cheap food and drinks.

Whats not to like about this hostel? The atmosphere is great, the dinner and breakfast is great. There is more to the standard breakfast served, just look to the right of the kitchen window in the dining room. The cat is awesome. And the beer is just 20 ckk. Thats a damn steal. I plan on staying here again next time I go to Prague.

The staff were really friendly and helpful- able to help plan any trips that we wanted to make and give good advice for places to see too. They could also speak good English, so there were no problems with misunderstanding each other. Dinner was really good and excellent value.
