Liked: As a backpacker with more than three years of backpacking experience, I can say with full confidence that Sir Toby's is truly one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The staff, the common areas, the kitchen, the rooms, and the location are all perfect in my opinion. I have also stayed in several other hostels in Prague and none of them even come close to Sir Toby's high standards.

Disliked: After spending almost two weeks here now, I'm still trying to find something that I dislike. I notice that the location seems to be an area that many people dislike, but I personally think it is beneficial to be just a bit outside the main tourist areas. You have great access to super markets and great restaurants that cater to locals. The tram runs all day and night and takes just a few minutes to get into the main areas.

Liked: Great atmosphere, awesome kitchen, amazing breakfast.

Disliked: The bathroom door was squeaking and really needed to be fixed.

Liked: The building is really cool, creating a cozy atmosphere.

Disliked: The reception was really interesting. The person who received us presented a mixture of special characteristics: friendly, interested in help, impatience and self-concluding mind, among others. It doesn't mean that it was bad, but we were a bit surprised. We traveled by car and the website didn't say we had to book the parking before and we had to pay an extra-fee for not reserving it.

Liked: I've now stayed in 5 different hostels in prague (in 3 visits) and this is easily my favorite! The beds were comfortable, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the place is really great for meeting other travellers. The downstairs area is really cozy and is a perfect place to hang out, drink some free tea, play games or chat with others. I love this hostel!

Disliked: The layout of the building is a little screwy, with the elevator stopping in between floors, but there's not really anything you can do about that, is there? I also thought it was strange that they charged for towels, even though they offer so much else for free.

Disliked: No double beds even though we asked for one. The beer in the downstairs bar is ridiculously overpriced.

Liked: The rooms are massive! I stayed in a 6-bed dorm but there was so, so much room between the beds. Storage draws under each bed also, big enough to fit all my stuff and lockable also. A little locker next to each bed as well, so your belongings are really safe. Plenty of powerpoints around which is useful. There's an all-you-can-eat breakfast available too, it's 5euro, but is one of the best value breakfasts ever!! Free wifi everywhere and several computers free for use. Really great character in this hostel, and some extremely helpful staff. This hostel has everything you need and more. Definitely recommended.

Disliked: The location isn't the best, as it's not right in the middle of the city or anything. However, the tram and metro are so close, and come so frequently that it really doesn't matter.

Liked: Very nice, spacious rooms. Cozy, inexpensive pub (with free Christmas dinner!) with a friendly atmosphere. Good wifi. Incredibly nice and helpful staff, all English-speaking. Able to buy tram/bus/metro tickets from the front desk--a big plus since you can't buy them on trams or buses or at many of the stops.

Disliked: No free breakfast (though the breakfast buffet is excellent if you're willing to pay for it). The luggage room is really narrow and difficult to maneuver large bags in, but the under-bed lockers are quite spacious, so that's mostly an issue if you arrive early or leave late (I did both).

Liked: EVERYTHING. People were awesome, place is awesome, majorly epicly good value, even if it's a little out of the centre of town, they totally set you up with all of the info you need to get to everywhere - easy as pie. Will definitely be coming back :)))

Liked: THis was a great hostel, and while it wasnt right in the center, it only took about 5 -10 minutes by tram, which is very easy and the staff was always ready to help. the breakfast wasnt included but was a very good price for what you got.

Disliked: It was far away from the airport and just a little bit outside the center of the city

Disliked: Staff certainly very friendly but quite impersonal. I felt like a bit of a number at the hostel and there wasnt a communal vibe like at some others. Internet very slow. Lots of Australians (I am one but would have liked a bit more diversity)

Liked: Sir Toby's is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. I had a phenomenally better experience there than in hostels for which I have paid three times the price. The facilities are clean, secure, and spacious, not to mention welcoming and atmospherically the best thing ever. The staff is incredibly helpful and cheerful and super cool at all times. The breakfast is an amazing deal and a delicious make-it-yourself smorgasbord, and the bar is a nifty place to hang out in the evenings before seeing Prague under the cover of night. If you go to Prague, absolutely stay at Sir Toby's. No doubt about it.

Disliked: There was nothing I disliked about Sir Toby's.
