Liked: The staff member is really very helpful!!! I accidentally locked my padlock keys in the locker. I asked for their help (it was 10pm). A man came with a pair of big scissors within 5 minutes & settle the matter. Its really efficient.
Disliked: Location is not really very convenient. A bit far from city centre. But luckily there is nice transportation network. Tram stop is within steps of the hostel.

Liked: The cozy atmosphere and the other travelers were a real plus. We enjoyed hanging out in the basement bar playing trivia, having a beer tasting (though the host was certainly no beer expert by any means) and playing games. The staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the city. They were fun to get to know.Restaurants in the area are cheap and good with lots of local cuisine, the hostel kitchen is great, and the grocery stores are well stocked with good prices.
Disliked: The overnight staff was really poor. We got in early in the morning and the guy didn't really know what to do with us because the computers were down, so he told us to come back in a few hours. We hung out in the basement for a few hours instead waiting for him to get us when the computers were back up, but he had left without telling other staff about us. When we asked about checking in, the other staff was embarrassed that he hadn't taken our passport information and started the check in at all, so that was encouraging. Again, when we tried to check out early, at 07:30 a few days later, I waited at the front desk ringing the bell for almost 10 minutes, looking around for staff. Finally, someone came in the front door before her shift started and checked us out. Just as we were leaving, the same overnight staff member that bungled our check in came to the front desk with an unenthusiastic apology. I would have been waiting there for about 15 mins if the woman hadn't come in when she did. Again, she was embarrassed, and since I met so many other staff members who were greater than great, I feel like he's just a lone bad apple in a heaping barrel of fun apples. Overall, we'll stay there again for sure and highly recommend it!

Liked: The basement is a cool area to meet people, with a kitchen, lounge area, and bar. Cheap drinks, cheap food, all you can eat breakfast for a little extra (including a make your own pancake and omelot bar), free barbeque once a week, nice rooms, pretty much any kind of facilities you want/need, awesome staff, and a few clubs close by if you're into that. Best hostel I've stayed in.
Disliked: leaving.

Liked: Staff are the nicest, most helpful people. Place is clean and looked fantastic. The pub in the basement is a winner - cheap beer and good food too. Free internet is always nice.
Disliked: My room was right on the street and next to the lobby, so it could be loud at night. It's a younger hostel, so people are constantly coming and going. Kind of far from the city center, but a tram is a block away.

Liked: The hostel had a nice laid back feel to it with a social area downstairs. Other backpackers were friendly and it was easy to meet other backpackers. The staff was very helpful and had a good attitude. There was a supermarket close by and the kitchen is nice.I could usually access WiFi from my room upstairs and the hostel allowed people to use their computers for free.
Disliked: The drier did not dry my clothes very well. It's not a convienent location for walking, but it is easy to take a tram into the old city or castle area.

Liked: The character of the building and staff is really what puts this hostel above all others. I had a private room with my girlfriend with hard wood floors, two large windows, plenty of space, an ensuite bathroom, a small kitchenette, and cosy lighting. It felt like we were on an Italian beach front, but we were tucked away by the river in Prague. The wooden bar in reception and the brick basement are also great additions. The building itself dates back roughly 100 years, but the hostel is in good shape. It has modern key-card locks, a new elevator (equipped with magnetic poetry while I was there), and a bbq out in the garden. The kitchen in the basement was also quite adequate.
Disliked: I suppose the kitchen is the only thing that really could be improved. The stoves are a bit small, and it can get a bit crowded around the island area. The biggest problem is a lack of tea towels for drying dishes. The only options for drying dishes were two old aprons. Not very ideal. If the kitchen was stocked better, cooking would be an easier, more enjoyable experience at Sir Toby's. That said, it was still brilliant.

Liked: The best hostel i have stayed in on my travels! Such a friendly and beautiful hostel. Really secure and the pub downstairs is a great place to meet people. I loved the small touches that shows the owners are really passionate about their business, loads of antique furniture, old photographs and locally made bits and pieces.
Disliked: The location is a bit further out than i would have liked but transport links are right on the doorstep, definitely worth trekking a bit further to stay at this hostel anyway!

Liked: Sir Toby's is by far the best hostel that I've ever stayed in. The employees are not just your typical "so friendly and helpful" hostel staff, but sincerely friendly and interested in your journey and who you are. The place is just a cut above the rest. Breakfast with pancakes and an omelette bar, 6 different kinds of juice, iced and hot coffee. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have a legitimately great library if you happen to be a bit of a bookworm. The showers are always hot, and don't have any dumb pressure timers. And the bar downstairs is so chill that people from other hostels and even students studying abroad come down to hang out. I stayed an extra two days because even after exploring Prague, I just wanted to lounge around the place.
Disliked: They spoil you so much that you'd have to go pretty far out of your way to find anything to complain about.

Liked: The staff was exceptional in their help on the tram systems, things to see and timelines. Also the facility itself was a great building, got a lot more than I expected for my money.
Disliked: The location was kind of away from the main parts of Prague but the tram system was easy enough to get to and use.

Liked: Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Super-friendly staff, super-tasty food, clean bathrooms and kitchen. Reception staff went the extra mile every time. Location is fantastic - tram is just round the corner and takes you straight to the historic centre. You can buy tickets from reception. Loved it at Sir Tobys. Great vibe, love the cellars where the kitchen, bar and sitting areas are. Definitely coming back.

Liked: I liked this hostel a lot. We were in a private twin room and the room had a lot of character. The whole place did. The beds were clean and comfy. The location wasnt the best but it was very close to a lot of tram stops that take you anywhere you need to go, and there are a lot of very cheap and tasty restaurants near by amongst other convenient stores like grocery stores, laundrymats, shops etc. The bar/restaurant down stairs is great! For a little extra money you can help yourself to a buffet breakfast of the most amazing variety. I had the best omlette of my life there, and iced sweet mint tea. They also play excellent music. The crowd is quite young, in their 20's and 30's mostly, and everyone is very friendly. Id definitely recommend people to stay here. You have to try the hot chocolates in Prague, no matter where you go, make sure you try one! The mint hot chocolates at the hostel are amazing.

Liked: Staff are friendly and helpful. I like the garden outside. Kitchen facilities are fantastic. The hostel should have a common lounge other than the one infront of the reception. Having the garden outside is okay, but if it's cold, then no fun to be outside. I wanted to hang out but didn't have the chance as the space at the reception was a bit awkward to be when there's people checkin/checkout etc.
Disliked: having just the one washing machine and dryer. Should have at least a couple of each as the cycle takes an hour to wash. That's a long time.
