Great area to socialise in and was busy, yet everyone was very mindful of others trying to sleep etc when in sleeping areas.

It was a good place to meet people and drink but if you aren't in that frame of mind it could be a little annoying. It seemed to draw younger crowds.

The hostel is perfect, the only problem is the neighborhood is not the best, but you can easily walk to the city center

This hostel is located in a great spot, close to the trains and buses, once you find your way there the first time (streets are a little confusing a 2 in the morning when you dont know where you are going!) youll be right!

I walked into my first hostel in Europe not knowing what to expect from it-but am i GLAD i walked into Hostel Elf! This place had some awesome graffiti around its walls (which is what attracted me to it in the first place). I walk in and end up meeting Patrik at the desk who ends being a very nice friend by the end of my stay. The people there were just awesome. All backpackers and travelers just lounge on the coach or sit on the garden terrace outside and chill and have agood time. No one really sticks to groups. Its a REAL FUN place. With respect to the rooms, nothing to complain - clean, linen available, towels available, lockers are big enough to store big backpacks! And the showers and toilets are very clean. And you can also cook something in the little kitchen downstairs. I love this place! Would go back in a jiffy anyday!

Cool place to meet people. Great value for your money. great outside patio where you can even bbq!! Cheap beer everywhere. However, bring a lock with you because security is an issue here. It is also a bit out of the way but close to the train station and bus station. It's not the best hostel but not the worst either. good value!

the breakfast, it was clean and staff was friendly, however what I didnt like was that even when it is closed to the train station is difficult to find it even catching the tram or bus as they recommended. on the other side it is not close to the city center it is quite far away, any way it is a good hostal. clean, friendly staff and good breakfast. value for money.
what I would recomend is to write down a notice to specify the time for using internet, sometimes you have to wait lots .

Great place to meet people and not a bad walk into the centre of town if you don't want to take public transport. Had a great free breakfast!

although it was a lot smaller than i thought it was good to meet people as everyone gathered in the small common room, the building was a mazing and so was the location. the girls at reception were excellent as well, really helpful.

Staff, atmosphere, people.... The location was pretty good too, only about ten-minute walk from the Old Town. We only stayed at Elf for two nights, but I would definetaly stay there again if I happen to be in Prague. Great value for money.
