Liked: Bar area is good for hanging out. Several computers in the same area all connected very well to the internet. Friendly staff.

Disliked: Not in the center of nightlife or historic areas but great location when considering the low cost. They need to post something that explains that there wilo be a local tax added to your stay. Hostelbookers remaining balance email does not reflect this difference.

Liked: The charater of the bar

Disliked: There are too much bed in the big dormitory and it's hard to sleep well. I would be also better if the males and females would be separated. The showers are not very practical for the intimity and staff to put soap, shampoo, clothes.

Liked: great atmosphere with nice music playing all the time. the staff is always ready to help you with anything. also the location is very good, despite the small hill. i will definitely repeat the experience next time i'm in prague.

Disliked: nothing!

Liked: Since I discovered this gem a few years back, I have been a frequent follower of Prague's resident party called Clown & Bard. This was my 8th, 9th or maybe 10th stay, I stopped counting a long time ago, as you don't count how many times you go back home to visit your parents. This place is like home, and the staff are just like family who will go out of their way to, to make sure you'll not only have a good time in Prague, but the best! There may be a lot of good hostels, there may be a few fantastic hostels, but this is without any doubt something quite special, so don't miss out on the chance of visiting one of the best hostels in Europe.

Disliked: It's a bit away from city center, but a 24 hour bus/tram service only a few stops away from the city center makes up for this. Prepare for a long steep hill to get there. But who cares 'cos when you've mounted it your in for the best party with the nicest people ever!

Liked: The staff were always happy and smiling. They were always willing to provide great advice. The bar had a great atmosphere and the rooms were really quiet at night.

Disliked: The outside courtyard had great potential. The owners should look at making it a nicer place to sit and relax.

Liked: not much actually

Disliked: the hostel is atop a really steep hill, then the door I was in was up another 9 flights of stairs, after a day of travel that was the last thing i wanted to do.

Liked: The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Spoke english too! The bar is a great place to meet people, but other than to drink at the bar the hostel wouldn't appeal to me.

Disliked: One "kitchen" which is actually camping stove, no kitchen utensils, the fridge was dirty aswell as the kitchen work surface (which is actually just the top of the fridge!) No kettle either. Bathrooms.. aren't great either and the hostel is freezing.

Liked: Solid hostel. Fun, just comfortable enough. This is what every cheap hostel should be like.

Disliked: Big dorm is up about nine flights of stairs.

Liked: We stayed at the highest floor, the attic, it's nice as its something differed from the usual guest room. There's a rustic feel to the room which I like. Location wise, it's only one tram stop away from the main railway station. Easy to get around.

Disliked: There was a very steep slope leading to the hostel. Dragging the luggage and backpack was rather difficult. And since we stayed at the highest floor-7th storey, means another round of climbing! The reception is at the bar, means we have to pass through the bar to get to our rooms, would be good if there's another door access to the rooms.

Liked: smoked salon, smoked people, smoked sofa, smoked computer. All are smoked, awesome! I like the dirty smell!

Liked: Typically what you would expect from a cheap, city hostel. Nothing facny but everythings clean, theres a great atmosphere in the bar, great value breakfast, unlimited free internet, friendly staff ect. Would definately go back.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Breakfast is more than you pay to it! 25 minute walking from city center, but only 10 minutes from Central Train St. Exactly a place for university students!

Disliked: Only negative thing was additional tax that is not announced in internet.

Liked: The staff were nice and very accommodating.

Disliked: I would not recommend this hostel. The large dormitory is at the top of the building and there are no lifts aka walking up with heavy luggage to the 5th or 6th floor. I don't even know what floor the dormitory was located on because it was so up there. The reception/bar area is extremely smoky, so not an ideal place if you are a non-smoker. The actual room was spacious but loud and noises just echoed everywhere. My bed was extremely uncomfortable and I could feel the bed frame through the mattress. The location of the hostel is 3-4 stops on the tram from the center of Old Town. For about $1 to $2 dollars more you could easily go to a nicer hostel in the outskirts of Old Town (10 minutes away on foot). Also to get to the hostel, you need to walk up 2 EXTREMELY steep hills. Possibly the worst hostel experience I ever had.

Liked: Fun staff, made the stay enjoyable and recommended places to check out.

Disliked: it looks a bit ghetto at first glance. we booked beds in the big dorm room (on the top floor with no elevator) and since the other guests were not following the rules, we just chose the available beds, made them with our linens and left to explore. when we came back three new guests were asleep in the beds we had made. annoying.
