Liked: We had a fantastic time at Poets Corner. It's so lovely and homely and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Olomouc and Poets Corner are definitely a great experience (and you have to go to the aeroplane bar!)

Liked: great little hostel!!! clean cozy and very homely,good beds ,about 2 min walk to the main square 1 min walk to supermarket and aeroplane bar,,looooots of info for travelers and friendly helpful staffff

Liked: Nice people, good location, all the basics.

Disliked: A little expensive compared to the place I was at in Prague but it's still the best value in a town with little competition.

Liked: The staff is very friendly and available to share with you some tips about the city and its life. during my staying we went to watch a ice-hockey match, for instance. the hostel is perfect as location and really well organised, from the basics (wi-fi, kitchen, rooms,etc etc) to the less basics (common places, cleanliness, information availability). a gorgeous common room will wait for you and offer a relaxing place where to chat, read a book from the little library of the hostel, surfing on the web or just drinking a tea on the sofa. for sure one of my best hostel experiences. if you wanna have a couple-of-days trip (also from Prague, for example) Olomouc is worth a visit, and the Poets' corner is highly recommended! ;)

Liked: I was greeted by a cup of tea and pastries when I arrived and introduced to several fellow travellers who were staying. A map with everything you needed to know about Olomouc was provided - breweries, tea houses, best food places etc - which was so fantastic. The town was lovely although I would be interested to go back when all the students are around. I was lucky enough to get enjoy my first ice hockey game while there as well which I would definitely recommend as a fun evening out with cheap beer!

Disliked: There was a slightly funny smell in the upstairs part where the dorm rooms are.

Liked: Great hostel, lived up to the hype. Joint best fr best atmosphere on my trip, met most of the people there at the time and went out with them both nights I was there. Could have stayed longer, they were cooking a roast the next night! Kitchen area was great for a chat and to meet people. Met some really interesting people here, and the staff are really passionate about the city. Give this place a chance, it grows on you!

Disliked: Not much really, except that dorms were quite basic and dark but that was more incentive to hang out in the kitchen :)

Liked: Very cosy, chilled hostel. Great advice on the many sights of Olomouc. Fantastic staff, the day after a lengthy conversation I was presented with a list of recommended books just in case I'd forgotten. I've never met such a chirpy nondrinker, she also came to work early one moning to bake the guests banana bread. Sorry I can't remember your name, but this rating is for you!

Disliked: I'd never used the type of coffee machine they have and accidentally made myself something with enough caffine for 8 to 10 people.

Liked: It was such a 'homey' feel, that socializing with other travelers was natural and not forced at all. Also, the rooms were spacious and clean.

Disliked: Smelled a bit, I think maybe from the plants in the kitchen, but it spread. An acquired smell, perhaps.

Liked: just like back to home. warm and friendly place to stay. I really enjoy the bike ride that day although it is a bite intense to me, probably to most HK people who do not quite offten do exercise.

Disliked: Everything felt good until the last moment when I asked to claim my backpack in the luggage room on the 3rd floor. Well, after a one day walk, it is normal to needing to use the toilet but I was refused in the 4th floor for the toilet. It will be very difficult to go to a problic toilet with the heavy backpack so I just want to prepare myself for the long train ride. May be this the hostel can consider a toliet or bathroom for traveller, who has already checked out but with their baggage stored in their place, on the 3rd floor. May hostels do in fact has this facilities.

Liked: Poets Corner is one of the nicest hostels and I really enjoyed my stay. The hostel personal are nice, talkative people. This hostel is also very well situated.

Liked: Nice comfortable hostel that had a homely feel to it. Loads of info at the hostel about the surrounding area and the staff were more than helpful when it came to recommending places to go.

Liked: Cozy, clean, excellent location in a lovely town. Friendly, very helpful staff. Beds already made up and a nice, hot shower!

Disliked: Could do with longer reception hours / 24 hor reception, as the direct trains from Krakow and Prague get in to Olomouc in the middle of the night.

Liked: The owners were friendly and helpful, we were immediately made welcome. After settling in we were taken through a map of Olomoucs and all it had on offer. It was clear they really loved the town and knew all about it. The hostel had loads of information about the local area to look through. Including a book of suggested hikes and bike rides (on the hostels own brilliant value bikes) and a board listing all the events going on around town. The location was brilliant, only a 5 minute walk from the town square. The hostel was full of interesting characters and we made some great new friends. We fell in love with Olomoucs and Poet's Corner and will definitely be back!

Liked: All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we had lots of fun hanging out with them. The hostel is really nice and cosy and the rooms are comfortable and clean. It is so relaxed here we could easily have lounged around for a few more days! The detailed directions to the hostel (including how to buy a tram ticket and which trams/directions to go) were brilliant. No chance of getting lost! Also - make sure you come in ice hockey season and tag along with Greg and the guys to a game! Loads of fun!

Liked: Lovely staff, I had my Birthday while we were there and they completely spoiled me, made a cake and everything! Really friendly people, great place to meet other travelers. Would highly recommend!
