Loved the map with the staff's recommendations of places to eat and visit.
Great to have a christmas dinner organised and everyone made to feel welcome.
Staff went out of their way to help us.
Staff were very knowledgable about Olomouc, and recommended day trips and other places in the Czech republic.
No TV was great!!!
Some addictive boardgames made everyone relax, and get to know eachother.

Greg and Francie have gone into exceptional attention to detail and its very well organised and clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet and great info available to help you explore the town. Going to the ice hockey with Greg was a highlight. It's the cleanest and most organised hostel I've seen for a long time (but its not inpersonal like some large hostels can get - its cosy). Its more expensive than other hostels in Chech Republic (for a double room with no bathroom) but the little extras and the quality of the place make up for most of that.

Greg and Francie are the most passionate, dedicated owner operators we have come across. It's not a party place but they include guests in activities.Homely place.

The double rooms are in a different apartment (same bock just downstairs) from the dorms section of the hostel. We stayed in the double and it was wonderful. I highly recommend this hostel. The staff were great and the owner does a tour of the town. Olomouc is well worth a visit.

Owner / Manager provided a huge amount of information about the area and sights to see - was over and above what was expected.

The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The location is central and there's no nead to take the tram anywhere. The supermarket is really close for cheap food. The hostel has a really relaxed environment, and if you want to go out the places they recommend are really great.

Greg, Francie and Dennis were fabulous hosts and I really felt like I was staying with friends. This hostel is what hostels around the world should be: welcoming, homely and a place where you can really rest at the end of a jam packed day.
