the hostel was really cool and in an ideal position, I was really disapointed in most of the staff, while some were good others were happy to watch you waiting in the reception for 1/2 hour while they sit outside and smoke, but all that said I would still stay here again

Good location close to the square. Warm-hearted stuff is helpful. Its decoration is like a maze. The only problem is there is no curtain for the window, although normally nobody will inspect you. You can meet various friends if you join the bar downstairs during evening, or use the kitchen for cooking.

Travellers Hostel was really well located, near the main square which was handy as a navigation point. Very helpful with lots of info about the town and how to get to places outside of it (we had to get to the airport in Linz) Very clean, decent rooms and cheap brekky. In the the peak season I could imagine it being a great party atmosphere, but in Nov it's still a good bar to chill out and have a beer in at the end of a day's sightseeing.

Very central hostel (you couldn't really get more closer to the center of town really). The Bar that is part of the hostel appears to be independently run, and it attracts alot of locals, because it is one of the few places that remain open to late into the night (things may be different in summer). While the bar could get quite roudy, most rooms are a fair way from there, so it shouldn't be noisy.
Generally speaking, the hostel is spotless, however the couple in the room next to us, found their room unclean from the previous occupants. When it was brought to the attention of the staff though, they were very quick to correct it, so I felt that is was an isolated incident.
The crowd at the hostel were a friendly group, and very easy to get along with, and socialise.
The hostel also has a pet, a Hungarian Pointer, and it must be the most spoilt dog on earth from travel weary pet owners!
Overall a lovely hostel in a lovely town, I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

This was a great hostel with tons of character. It was clean and the location was fantastic. It was incredibly cheap and extremely good value for money. It was lively down at the reception/bar but quiet in the rooms upstairs. All in all this was the best hostel we stayed at in our travels in Eastern/Central Europe. Would definitely come back!
